Mia's pov:
I was abruptly awoken by the sound of heavy rain and hail battering against my apartment windows. It was a miserable day today. My head was hurting because I drank a little too much last night. But I got to admit, I liked having a taste of being the average person for the night. The cheery ringtone of my phone interrupted my conversation of thoughts between me and my inner self, I answered the phone to hear the familiar voice of my brother. "Morning Mia, feeling slightly hungover after our chaotic evening last night?" William asked. I laughed in Response to his question. "William, I was not the one who was twerking on the bar table!"a sigh of disbelief escaped his lips. "No, I didn't, did I ?" I could sense the embarrassment in his voice "Yeah, you got a little carried away!" I remembered some of our unpleasant behaviour and cringed at the thought.
"Let's not let that happen again..." William replied. "Agreed." " The weather is pretty shit today , am I right?" William joked. "Yeah.... erm I should probably get dressed, I'll meet you at the headquarters in an hour" I said. "Ok I'll call Connor and Zoey, see you then sis." I hung up and put my phone on the kitchen counter. Then I got dressed which consisted of a plain, long sleeved white top and a pair of black skinny jeans, topped off with some plain white and black Nike trainers. I grabbed my quiver and my bow and arrows and headed for the arrow headquarters.

Zoey's pov:

"There are new assassins in town." I announced. "Looking at this limited security footage, it's obvious that they do not want to draw any attention." "Then lucky we got this footage." Mia said walking into the headquarters, followed by a greeting from the rest of the team. "Didn't think you'd turn up" Connor stated. "Assassins in Star City, wouldn't miss it for the world!" Mia replied with a genuine smile on her face. Connor returned the smile with one of his own. I ship those two :) I felt myself grin at the thought. I was cut from my trail of thoughts when the security breach alarm went off in Star City hall. "It appears we have a break-in, in the city hall." William raised his voice over the triggered alarms coming from the computer screens. "Suit up!" Mia demanded in response. After transitioning into our gear we arrived at the crime scene in less than twenty minutes. "Split up!" I commanded followed by a few nods. "We have a broken window five stories up and another broken window on the sixth floor at the back." William reminded us through our ear comms. We split up and went through the windows without making a single noise.

Connor's pov:

As me and Mia entered the building, we glanced at each other once to split up. There was shattered glass everywhere and scattered bodies of what looked like security guards. I kneeled down next to a young security guard with some sort of ninja throwing star lodged into his throat. I pulled it out and analysed it, deciding that I should give it to William for testing. I looked around the floors, stepping over the dead bodies with similar death patterns. Whoever did this, was highly trained and used the same methods to kill. "That is a lot of dead bodies in twenty minutes." I sighed, hearing the reassuring voice of William speaking through my ear piece. "Yeah, these assassins are very well trained." Suddenly in the corner of my eye, I caught a stealthy figure , elegantly leap up the staircase like a cheater. " And fast too." I muttered. I followed the figure and found myself face to face with a tall woman, wearing a black hood and cloak that gracefully draped from her lean shoulders. She had a matching black quiver filled with black and red arrows, that I recognised from a couple of the guards lifeless corpses. She wore a black mask that only covered her nose and mouth. She then spoke, her voice confident and menacing but in an almost soothing way. " You so called heroes, may be trained in various combat styles, but you are no match for an assassin trained by the demons head." "Why did you beak into city hall? Who sent you?" I asked trying to replicate her intimidating posture. She only laughed, a taunting laugh that only lasted a few seconds. "And why would I tell you that? You are only a kid, a vigilante, the demon's head would be disgusted ."She replied strictly, only sparing me a glance out of disrespect. "Never underestimate your opponent." I hissed. She strode intimidatingly towards me. " Challenging an assassin trained in every style of combat is a reckless thing to do, however I admire your boldness, you will die by my blade in honour." She said dauntingly, raising her sword. " we'll see about that!" I replied raising my sword and shifting into my fighting stance. She leaped towards me releasing a battle cry and attacked first, I deflected her sword and cut her arm. Anger flashed in her eyes before she attacked again, this time with more success, gaining a groan from me and a slash in my leg. She continued to attack, whilst I stayed in defence, luckily blocking a few of her blows and receiving some all the same. She got me in an arm lock, then dislocated my shoulder , I yelped in pain . She took advantage of my distraction and kicked me to the ground.my face slammed against the cold marble floor of the mayor's office. I took a moment to gain my breath and saw my reflection on the shiny floor, my bloody state prompting me to get up and fight . "Connor are you alright!" William shouted through my ear comm, bringing me back to reality. "Yeah I'm fine." I said through gritted teeth. "That didn't sound very convincing." Zoey stated flatly, reminding me that the ear comms are all connected. Before I could get back up, the assassin pinned me down to the ground again. "You make a worthy component, but now we end it!" She said, raising her sword to my throat, but before I could react, I heard the assassin yell in pain and fell aside from me. She angrily clutched the shoulder that was now pierced with a green arrow. "You didn't even think that he would have back up?" Mia asked her before knocking her out with a punch to the jaw. "I could say the same thing about you." An anonymous voice spoke sternly, causing me and Mia to turn around. "Jeez, another assassin." Mia mumbled under her breath. "Me and my sister will be on our way, unless you want more blood shed." The woman threatened. "Sorry but we gonna have to pass." Mia replied. The woman turned towards me. "You barely held your own to my sister, and your willing to challenge a more superior fighter?" If looks could kill, we wouldn't have to fight her at all. "Well look where that led your sister." I hissed. "You dare disrespect me! I'm the daughter of the demons head, no one can defeat me, I advise that you yield before it's too late.." she threatened in a stone cold voice. "Let's do it the hard way then..." Mia said, not a moment later she shot her arrows towards the assassin but they were deflected easily with her sword. The assassin leaped towards Mia and attacked with her sword. She was talented but something was holding her back. She was less stealthy in her actions and she was slightly slower in her defence to Mia's blows. After she managed to round- house kick Mia to the ground, I intervened an clashed my sword against hers. After sharing attacks and defences I punched her throat, sending her to the floor with a unpleasant thump. Mia pinned her to the floor, holding both her arms behind her back. "Who do you work for?" Mia demanded, Tightening her grip. "We came alone, we are on the run." The injured assassin reluctantly admitted. "From who?" I asked. When she didn't reply, Mia twisted her arm. The assassin squirmed in pain. "We are on the run..." she started. "Continue." Mia prompted. "We are on the run from the league of assassins ." The woman reluctantly gave in. Something wasn't right, this woman was weaker. She didn't look too well either. "The league of assassins." Mia repeated, a look of recognition flashed over her face. " my father was involved with the league. Ra's Al Ghul." Mia explained. "The demons head has many enemies and allies." The assassin barked. "The demons head is Ra's Al Ghul." I thought out loud. "Precisely." Mia replied.

Williams pov:

"Zoey could you please take care of that nocked out assassin?" I asked. "Sure." She simply replied. I heard her pick up the limp assassin and gently place her in the back of the truck. "Done?" I asked impatiently, after seeing traces of police and FBI making their way to the come scene. "Guys... we got police and FBI coming, you got two minutes to be out of here!" I announced. "Ok, we are heading to the truck now." Connor said in response. I checked the security footage of the break-in and found missing data. I hacked into the computer backup and recovered the stolen data, presumably by the assassins and saved a copy to analyse later. After about five minutes the team entered the bunker with two knocked out assassins. They then locked them in a cell and began unpacking their weapons.
