It about 9am when I wake up and Junior is still sleeping but he has moved the side of me so now I am able to move without waking him up. I crawl out of bed and grab some clothes so that I can go shower. I blast my music while I'm in there and I sing along to songs like She by Selena Gomez.
When I get out the shower, I go check on Junior and he's still sleeping. So I just go to the kitchen where my brother and Lulu are.
"Good morning!" I say as I walk in.
"Hey girly! How was last night?" Lulu says as she smirks and raises her eyebrows.
"It was good. Whatever you're thinking, nothing happened. It was his dad again..." I say.
"Ohh, is he okay?" Caesar asks.
"Yeah... he didn't really want to talk about it." I say.
I grab a box of cereal and pour me a bowl then I go and sit on the couch so that I can watch tv. Once I'm done, I head back to my room and I notice that Junior is already awake.
"Oh hey!" I say when I walk in.
"Hey! Is it okay if I take a shower?" He asks.
"Yeah of course!" I say.
So he grabs some clothes from his backpack and heads to the bathroom. I just lay on my bed and scroll through Instagram and look at peoples Snapchat stories. When Junior comes back in the room, he's all dressed and ready for work for later.
"You want breakfast?" I ask him.
"I'm fine, thank you." He says.
I just nod my head okay. I get up and walk towards my backpack which is right next to my desk and I pull out some homework that I need to finish.
"Fernanda, can you help me with my homework?" He asks.
"Yes! But we're listening to my music!" I say as I laugh.
I connect my phone to my speaker as he grabs his homework from his backpack. He pulls up a chair to my desk and I begin helping him with his math as I work on the remainder of my homework too. As my music is playing, I slightly start singing along to it and I guess Junior notices because he starts staring at me.
"What?" I say as I begin to blush.
"Nothing, I just like listening to you sing." He says.
"Listening!! Not watching!!" I say as I laugh.
"Shut up!" He says as he slightly hits me and laughs too.
We finish up our homework and now it's pretty much lunchtime and we have to be at work in an hour. I get up to go look in the kitchen to see what there is to eat. Caesar stops me though before I can get any further than my bedroom door.
"You's want to go get something to eat before you's have to be at work?" He asks.
I look back at Caesar to see what he wants to do. He shakes his head in agreement.
"Well, Lulu and I was going to get Chipotle. You guys want that?" Caesar asks.
"Yeah that sounds good. Just give me a couple of minutes." I say.
I go and put my shoes on, turn off my speaker, tidy up my homework, grab my phone, and get my sweater. Junior gets ready to go to and then we head out the room. Caesar's ready to go but we're just waiting for Lulu then we go out the car.
Caesar controls the music and I sing along to every single song. After we finish up eating, Caesar drops Junior and I off at work.
"Hey can you's make us some pink drinks real quick?" Caesar asks.
"Yeah, I got you." I say.
We head inside of work and get on our aprons. I make Caesar's drinks and then take them back out to him. He tries to hand me some money to pay for them but I decline it.
"I got you!!" I say.
"Thank you! What time you need me to pick you up?" Caesar asks.
"We're going to walk today. See if Junior is safe to go home." I say.
"Well if he is, I don't want you walking home alone." He says.
"It'll only be two blocks if that's the case. I'll text you and let you know." I say.
"Okay! Be safe! I love you!" He says.
"I love you too!" I say.
I head back into work and whip up some for drinks for tons of customers throughout the evening. I notice today though that Junior is quiet and when he's quiet it's because he's thinking. I let him be and not bother him that much. Until we have a 15 minute break. We go to the back room and I'm drinking a Frappuccino and he's just on his phone.
"You okay?" I ask him as I kick his foot.
"Yeah... I'm just thinking about my dad... I don't want to have to always go through this with him." He says.
"I understand Junior. Well we'll stop there today and you can decide. It may not be your permanent decision. And always remember that my house is available to you too." I say.
"Thank you!" He says.
He gets up and gives me a big hug and I can tell that he's hurting. After, we go back to working for a couple more hours. We clean up the place, lock up, and then walk towards Juniors house. It takes us about 10 minutes to get there.
"You want me to go in with you or you want me to wait out here?" I ask him once we get to his house.
"His truck isn't here so you can come in." He says.
We go to his room and he starts packing up all of his things which isn't too much. So I'm assuming that he's made his decision to leave home for a bit. After a minute we hear his dad come in. You can tell that he's drunk.
"Go in the closet real quick. I don't want him taking anything out on you." Junior says.
So I go in the closet. And it gets quiet. Then you hear Juniors dad shut his bedroom door. Junior opens the closet for me to get out. We grab his bags then we go out through the window. We walk to my house and then get his things set up in my room.
"You okay?" I ask after a minute.
"Yeah I'm fine. I'm better here right now." He says.
Caesar knocks on my door to check on us. I open it for him and just nod my head to let him know that Junior is hurting but he's okay.
"You's want to go to the mall tomorrow with Lulu and I?" Caesar asks.
I look back at Junior to see what he wants to do.
"Yeah I'm down." Junior says.
"Alright! I'll see you's in the morning. Goodnight!" Caesar says.
I close the door behind me and then I help Junior with the rest of his things. I go and take a quick shower. When I get out, Junior takes one after me. I just lay in bed watching Keeping up with the Kardashians as I wait for Junior to get out the shower. Once he gets out, he comes and lays with me.
"Thank you!" He says as he hugs me tightly.
"Of course!" I say as I hug him back.
He lays on me like the night before and then we fall asleep together.
