Get Up Amira my father whispered in my ear while tugging on my right arm One more school day then we leave off to California for winter vacation.
That's right winter vacation! I pulled down my bed covers and jumped with excitement screaming in joy.
My dad walks out with a strange feeling he looks at me like I'm a freak.
"Last day of being in a hell hole well not to long but yay!" I said with full excitement.
I got over the part of jumping on my bed and screaming. I yawned really loud so my mother would know Im up. I stood up on the floor with my carpet floor confronting my toes. I walked over to my mirror and forgot that I just hung up some of my artwork across my bedroom wall hanging onto a long tan color string. I turned around walked over to my drawings and smirked Damn I'm a good. I walked my way back to my mirror and looked at my face. ugh!
I put on my black earrings and left to my bathroom to brush my teeth. fresh as ice tea! I came back to my room reached for a cabinet closest to my right side. I reached in to grab a bottle and popped a lid of my new lotion and put the lotion onto my hands and smeared it across my hands. I immediately could smell the fragrance the lotion left in the air. I looked out my window, smelled the fresh air, saw the green tall trees. I glanced and saw the blue puffy beautiful clouds, with the sun coming through leaving rays of sun through. how beautiful.
I smiled my way to my closet, slid the door to the right and looked for something cute to wear. I stood on my tippy toes and reached for my dark navy blue jeans. These are comfy. I took off a black/white striped crop top shirt off my hanger, reached over to grab a red and black flannel. I dropped my clothes onto my bed scattered I headed to my make-up section and put on a touch of mascara and a touch of eye shadow.
Im excited I screamed not to loud. I slipped off my clothing I slept with and slid into my outfit.
"I look sick! Now to find my white vans." I said while scratching the back of my left ear.
I looked every where in my room and could not find it. I walked over to my mothers room across the hall.
"Mom have you seen my new white vans that you bought me about two or three days ago?" I questioned myself while I asked.
No hunn checked down stairs by the dinning table you wore them yesterday.
"Of course" I said in stupidity while hitting my forhead with the palm of my hand.
There they are I grabbed them and ran up the stairs and to my room. I shut the door behind me. I got myself my comfy long socks and slipped them on.
"Hurry Amira. I have to leave before 7:45am." my dad shouted grabbing his coat from one of the bottom closets and he walked his way to the front door.
I took a look at my alarm clock 7:37am
"OH CRAP!" I said in fear of making my dad being late.
I slid my vans on quickly not teing my shoe strings, I brushed my long black hair as fast as I could go. I made my mind quickly and decided to grab my black grey beanie. I grabbed my bag said good bye to my mom and left running out the door.
I hoped into my dads white Cadillac, I fixed my hair and put my beanie on the back-ish of my head. I slid my bag onto the cars floor along with my water bottle my dad gave me as soon as we got into the car. I brought down the cars mirror where the sun shade is and started to fix the back of my hair. I had a thought that I forgot something but I just couldn't remember...
I forgot my phone! I said while I hit my head on the front seat window and let out a sigh.
It was too late to go back to my house we were already about one block away from my high school. Great! I said sarcastcally. I looked my way over to my dad and I noticed him pulling out an object out of his left pocket and handed it to me.
My phone! I said in relief.
"You left your phone on the kitchen table last night after we ate." my dad said in a chuckle.
"Thank you dad!"
We were at the schools front gates already, I picked up my bag and bottle- "Bye dad I love you!" I kissed him on the cheek and waved.
"Hun call me once you get home probably we can go to dinner after school we will pick up your mother." my dad shouted out the window as I walked my way out.
I glanced and gestured signally a yes.
"Aye Yasmin" I caught up to her.
"Oh hey Amira I didn't see you. You look pretty today! Is that a new beanie?" she said with a big hug and a smile.
"Thanks i just threw it on. Nice shirt and yes thanks." I smirked while I put my right arm around he shoulder.
We were walking our way towards the lunch about to walk to our benches near our auditiourium but the bell rang as soon as we sat down. It was kind of chilly outside but I didn't mind at all. We parted and went to our first period class.
