'Dear Diary,
It's been a few month since my mom left. I haven't heard from her. I've called her but she hasn't answered. I've even texted her. I hope she's okay. Honestly, things have been good lately. I got all the new trendy things and my broadway package came in the mail! Ooo! There were Hamilton and Beetle Juice stickers in it which I'm going to put on my lap top. Christmas was a few days ago. I got a Hamilton shirt and a few other things. It was great! Thanks for listening diary. I'm going to try and call my mom again.'I put my diary in my night stand and locked it. Now to go steal my step dads phone.. I carefully snuck into the room he shared with my mom and stole his phone. Suddenly, he walked out of the bathroom with a towel around his bottom half. I quickly hid the phone. "Ah! Maddie! Get out!", he yelled. I left, shutting the door behind me.
I ran to my room and called my mom. She didn't answer. I sighed heavily and looked at his text messages. He hadn't texted her either..
She hadn't even called him. I threw his phone into the hallway and started crying. Where was my mom? I'm a teenage girl.. I need her damn it. She said she would call me. I haven't seen her in forever..~A few days pass~
'Dear Diary,
We had theatre try outs today.. I'm sure I sucked but we're doing Annie. I love Annie! Hopefully I get a part. Well.. Goodnight for now Diary.'I sighed and looked at my phone hoping my mom had texted.. But no. Only texts from my theatre group. Damn it. Double damn it. I forgot I had KTC tomorrow. That was an after school cheer thing. My dad put me in cheer before he died. I miss him.. He was the most funny man you would ever meet.. He always made me smile and laugh.. I snapped out of my thoughts as I heard knocking on my door. I opened it. There stood my step father with a frown painted on his face. "What's wrong?", I asked. He looked me straight in the eyes, "It's your mother. She gone.. Go to the front door. There's some police officers that want to talk to you." I frowned. I felt confused. I slowly slipped past him and walked to the front door. There the policemen stood. "Hello Maddie. We want to talk to you about your mother", one said. I nodded, "Please." They took their hats off as one began to talk, "Your mother was found dead in her hotel at eight o'clock this morning. From, Suicide.." Tears filled my eyes as I began to ugly sob, "No!" "Now listen.." The other one said, "We're going to put you in foster care." I looked at the officers, "Why?!" They looked behind me to my stepdad, then to me, "Because your stepfather has not adopted you and doesn't want to claim you. Get your bags packed sweetie." I slowly went to my room and packed everything I could, sobbing the whole time. Once done, I got escorted to the foster home.
I had no idea who my foster parents were going to be..
