I printed the letter, folded it and placed it into an old, cream envelope with travel stamps already stuck on them. I sealed the envelope and placed it on my desk. No one writes letters anymore. This is the first letter I've written since I had to write them in school.
"Julie! The bread's open!" My dad called onto me implying that I need to make breakfast quickly. The time said eight. I had three hours until we have to leave for the beach. "Julie!" Dad called onto me once more. "I'm coming!" I said loudly as I walked out my room.
The window burst open in Julie's nature oriented room. Pots of flowers and vines in every corner. The envelope trembled as the cool wind blew. With a few twitches, the letter flew off the table and out the window. Soaring through the village, the letter climbed higher and higher up into the sky. Bursting through puffy, white clouds into the holy place itself. Where streets were made of gold and good souls roamed.
The letter flew through the huge, golden gates of heaven and into the golden palace directly in the hands of god himself. His eyebrows furrowed with confusion,"Huh? What is this?" He asked. He carefully opened the letter. "A letter?" He questioned. His eyes scanned every word. "Angel Gabriel. Call Julia Ramkumar, the mother of Julie Ramkumar, to me." God said to the angel in front of him.
The angel flew out of the palace and came back with the soul of Julia Ramkumar. God handed her the letter to read. Her spirit brightened and her eyes filled with tears as she read the words written by her only daughter. "I will give you two options. You can go down to her for one day but you must never return to heaven again. Your soul will roam the earth until your daughter has die or your daughter's wish may be granted in exchange for her pure soul on her twenty first birthday." God said Julia's options.
Julia was quick to choose option one without knowing the consequences but god stopped her. "If you choose to go to your daughter, your daughter will be immortal and have everlasting life on earth initially banishing you from heaven forever. However, if you choose option two your daughter's life will be cut short and you two will live in my kingdom for eternity." God further explained. Julia stood and thought for a second. "I knows not what to choose my lord." She bent her head down.
"Will I shall choose for you. You are my child and I do not banish my children from my kingdom unless they break the order. Going to your daughter breaks that order. Her coming to my kingdom as a virgin does not. If your daughter decides infidelity with a man, the order will be obstructed and both shall be banished from my kingdom forever. Your daughter shall not be involved in love or sex until she dies at age twenty one on her birthday. Every year on her she will be able to entire into my gates for a day until time is due. You shall accept my offer and be on your way." The lord said in a mighty, deep voice.
Julia nodded her head, "Yes my lord." She accepted and with the help of angel Gabriel they left the palace. You must never argue with God. He alone knows his plan and what his has in store foe Julie. Knowing this Julia returned to her parents and went about her day.
