1980, New Years Eve.
Point Place, Wisconsin.Stephen places her down; amused by the tiny romper suit that he'd dressed her in. It was fitting for the holiday season, Santa red with a Christmas pudding on the belly.
"Now listen here stinker" He said, moving her feet so he could button up her coat. "We've got a lot of explaining to do-it's mostly your fault" He zipped up the coat. "But for both our sakes let me do the talking, huh?"
Smiling, he sat her up in the chair and strapped her in.
"No doubt someone will say something like 'Steven this is why we told you not to marry a stripper' " he rolled his eyes. "Whatever man, that's where you just choose between crapping or puking on them, alright chubby?"
He sighed deeply putting on his glasses. He checked himself in the mirror before nodding.
"Big night Zeppie, going to the Forman's again. It brings back memories, so probably best not to go down to the basement. Anyway, let's go give Red another heart attack" He smirked picking up the chair. He raced to the car, the night was freezing. It was New Years at Point Place which meant it's was cold and boring. He heated up the car for a few minutes, Zeppie was already relaxed enough to go to sleep and he was fiddling with the radio.
Despite Hyde's great capability of shoving his feelings away, something made them creep out their dungeon of darkness. That something was drooling in the back seat with big heavy blinks. He had a knack for getting out of difficult situations, his recent divorce for instance. However, tonight was a doozy. How the hell was he gonna explain this one without everyone getting all sympathetic and gross. He was especially not looking forward to since it had been a year since he'd seen them, he even dodged Eric's birthday. The only reason he was coming tonight was that he bumped into Red at the gas station last week and told him to come. So as the radio settled with Queen, Steven Hyde came up with a plan as he drove to the Forman's.--
It hadn't even turned ten yet. Red Forman was on his third beer and last nerve. In his living room, conversation bounced around, almost animatronic. As much as he was losing the will to live, he knew the party made Kitty happy. Plus she was excited that everyone was back together, with Eric and Donna planning a wedding being a better attempt than their last;the dumbass had a job which was a miracle enough for him. The radio was turned up which only aggravated him further, Red decided then and there that he would stay stewing in his pea green chair.
It was not meant to be.
"Red, do you think there's enough food?" Kitty asked him nervously, after coming out the kitchen with another bowl of chips. Red sighed deeply.
"Kitty, there's more food here than what the army fed us in Korea" She gave him a look. "When I say that I mean, stop worrying, the party's great" He faked a smile.
"Well in that case" She laughed and added. "Why not you get off your keester and go talk to someone before people start to think you don't like them" She laughed sarcastically and sauntered off. Her husband grumbled and stood from the comfort of his chair.Across the room, Jackie stood with Donna and Eric. They were transfixed by Fez's dancing, as he began to salsa with a older lady.
"This is like a horror a movie, I know something scary is about to happen but I just can't pull my eyes away" Eric shivered.
Fez then spun his partner and dipped her dramatically.
"Yeah, looks like he's taking our break up pretty badly" Jackie mused, taking a sip of her beer.
"You know I've heard a 'lotta reasons why people break up but, clothes? that's a first"Jackie rolled her eyes with the reminder.
"He tried to tell me that yellow wasn't my colour, everybody knows that every colour is my colour" She shook her head, flicking her hair over her shoulder. "What a moron"
"Yeah a real scum-bag, I think I'm gonna go to the garage and get something to end Saturday night fever over there" He motioned to Fez. Just as he said that, Fez stole a flower from the a nearby vase and placed it between his teeth, wiggling his eyebrows suggestively. "I think my dad has tranquilizers left over from his hunting trips" Eric sighed and looked to Jackie. "That's what we tried to tell you about"
