The clock read 1:04 in bolded red lines beside your head. With a deep sigh you flipped over onto your side once again in hopes of finding a comfortable position to fall asleep. Your arms stretched out in front of you to find the cool spots on the mattress. Temporary relief came as you settled into the sheets once again but no sooner than you had hoped, your eyelids were flickering open again. The last resort option was linked to the device that sat face down on your bedside table. You knew it wasn't good to scroll through your phone right before bed but you also needed to hear that one voice you were aching for.

Without a thought to anything else, your fingers were swiping across the screen to find his contact. There was a thought at the back of her head that was reminding her of the difference of time zones but she figured she would give it a shot.

Phone pressed between her ear and the fluffy white pillow, she waited as the line rang a few times.

"Hello, baby." Deep tones cleared through the phone speakers and you couldn't help the smile that instantly appeared on your face.

"Harry!" your voice was quiet but still held the happiness of being able to talk to him.

"What're you doin up, love?" There was shuffling in the background that was heard but after a few seconds it started to die down as you heard Harry's movements.

"Couldn't sleep," he could probably imagine the pout you had on your lips now as the feeling of missing his warm comfort grew even more.

"Were you on your phone before bed again?"

"No I wasn't! I was trying to sleep but I couldn't so I figured I'd call you to hear your voice."

Harry coughed lightly on the other end of the phone before his deep voice returned, "Oh, so you were hopin' my voice would put you to sleep? I's that boring, is it?"

A quiet laugh escaped your lips at his teasing tone, "Well, when you're not singing, yeah it is."

"Ah, I see. Guess I won't be callin' you during the days then. Wouldn't want to put you to sleep while you're at work or school now would we?"

The two of you went back and forth in teasing jibes until you felt your eyelids growing heavier. Harry must have heard it in your voice when he told you that he would phone you later.

"Harry?"

"Yeah, baby?"

"I miss you." You sighed deeply, not out of sadness but as a way to get out off your chest and to let him know that you really did want to hear from him again and soon.

"Miss you too. Why don't you go to sleep now and you'll have those amazing dreams with me in it."

You snorted in amusement, "You? Nah, I think I'll dream about Zac Efron tonight...or Liam Hemsworth...or both." You burst into laughter as you heard the real disapproval in Harry's grunt.

"Yeah, yeah we'll see about that. Only a few more days until I get back."

"I'll be waiting for you." You sighed in content when Harry told you he loved you and after reciprocating, the two of you said your goodbyes and hung up.

The phone was placed back, face down to its previous spot and this time when you laid your head down to sleep, you sank into your dreams with happiness.
