We were driving away in silence. I didn't know what say or do. I was still frozen, unable to move and barely able to breathe. I looked over at Rowan's face to find that he was like a statue. He was showing no emotion as he focused on the road. I didn't know what he was feeling. Was he angry at me? DId he feel bad about himself? What was going on in his mind?
All of a sudden, I heard the screaming again. I looked over at Rowan but he wasn't doing anything. He was still silent. The screaming got progressively louder and louder until it got deafening. I started to say, "Hello?" I couldn't hear myself. I looked at Rowan, and what I saw made me scream. He was burning. The hallucination kept on flashing in and out. I started to cut myself with my own nails, trying to make the chaos go away. I lost control of body, of my thoughts. Scratches started to magically appear on my chest. They were painful, but the end result was even more painful. The scratches spelled out WORTHLESS and flames sprang from the cuts. Rowan looked at me, violently scratching myself and screaming. He was looking over me.
But he didn't think about himself. He looked at me as he crossed a red light. The whole world went completely normal as Rowan screamed, "I! Love! You!" Then, the world went into slow motion as a car rammed into his side of the car. The car dented in because of the impact and shining pieces of glass were falling everywhere. I looked at him one last time as he looked at me. The car then suddenly stopped and he rammed his head into the wheel. Before I could check if he was ok, the air bag popped out, hit me in the face, knocked me unconscious, and sent the world into an infinite darkness...
