Maid AU

Lucy's POV
              It was a day like any other, doing my daily work, I'm a maid at the Dragneel residence. Ever since my father lost most of his money I resulted to working as a maid while he tried to regain his business power. Luckily since my father was once a powerful man he knew lots of connections so it wasn't hard finding work. At the time I was fairly new to working as a maid in Natsu Dragneel's Castle. He's the King of the Dragons, he inherited the thrown after his father Igneel. At the time, I've never really met him before.

          I usually had the same sections of the castle everyday as well the other maids did too. I had heard that Natsu was a very strict boss, he didn't tolerate disorder and had a short temper. But I had never encountered this before but knew enough to always follow orders, out of caution. One day I was filling in for a maid who had the day off, I took her section of the castle. I was informed by my supervisor but also Natsu was there with him. Natsu basically told me specifically "Clean the normal sections Mira has, Except my room! It's off limits until Mira comes back. I'll be gone out of town I'll be back around noon. Everything should be done by then". I nodded in understanding and said "Yes sir". He nodded slightly then walked off, when he talked to me he had such an intimidating presence.. I better do everything according to schedule! I don't want to see his bad side.

         I was about to hurry off and start my work when my supervisor called to me "Lucy also I'll need you to Feed the Cat and bathe him but you can do that after your chores". I nodded and my supervisor was about to leave when curiosity hit me. "Why aren't I allowed to clean the Majesty's room? Does he not trust my skill of cleaning?" I asked simply. My supervisor turned to me and said "The Master is very reserved and doesn't trust anyone to come in his room. Mira has worked here longer and knows how he likes it". "Ohhh that makes sense" I said quietly then waved goodbye to my supervisor and rushed to start my work. Well I guess it's better for me I have less to clean.

Time skip~

          It had been almost noon when I was just about done with Mira's section. I just need to finish scrubbing these floors and I'll be done. Better hurry though cause I don't want the Majesty to scold me. I know he's known for lashing out.. Well anyways that's about it. I finished, yay!! Ah, I feel so fulfilled! Anyways I could go on my break but I might as well feed and bathe the cat that way I can just enjoy my break fully. But darn it! Where is that cat anyways!? I haven't seen him all day... I wonder where he can be..? I headed down to put my cleaning supplies away in hopes that I would see the Cat on my way. Sadly no sign of him when I put away my stuff in the broom closet. But then suddenly I heard the faintest little "Meow" I turned around to see there he was! Ah! Good now I can bathe him and give him his food! "Here Kitty! Come here!" I said kindly but the cat didn't seem amused..

         He doesn't seem to recognize me.. He doesn't want to come to me.. Ugh and I don't remember his name.. Well it shouldn't be that hard to catch a cat! I tried to creep up behind but he seemed to notice me anyways.. He jerked away from me but luckily I managed to grab him, yes!!! "Ow!" I yelled slightly as the cat had scratched me causing me to drop him.. Evil cat! Then he started to run off! "Come back here!" I said sternly, I was starting to loose my patience! I hurried after it and saw when it was running I was able to catch up! Your not getting away this time! I went up to snatch it but it quickly dodged my hands. Then suddenly it sprouted wings and began to fly!? Since when did this cat fly!!?? I swung my arms around in attempts to catch it but he flew higher then I could reach..

            Why couldn't the Dragon king have a normal cat?! Well what did I expect from a cat that's blue! Ughh this is harder then I thought.. Eventually I had lost the cat.. Apparently he flys way faster then he runs.. I'm starting to run out of ideas.. Wait a minute the kitchen is near by! What if I lure him out with food? That's genius! Plus I would feed him which is part of my task! So I rushed off to the kitchen prepared the cat food then began to call out "here kitty! I have some fishy for you!" As I walked around looking for the cat around the halls. This cat always has special, rare, and fancy fish to eat! He eats better then me! So unfair! Ughhh I'm getting distracted! I really need to find this cat!
