It was nine pm on the next night when Ifrah turned on her side to lie straight on the bed. She glared at the ceiling with her hands tied on her stomach and whispered;

“Aayan... ” she called out while internally pulling out her hair for stooping this low. She was bored beyond words and wanted to do something but according to the stupid rules, the passengers were to go to bed at eight-thirty and if the staff caught their lights on, they'd have to pay fine.

“Hey,” she tried again. She couldn't even see him in the pitch black room to tell if he was deliberately ignoring her or not. “I know you're awake.”

No answer.

She huffed out a breath and moved her hand to feel the pillows which were placed between them and let out a shriek when she felt a nose.

“You idiot!” she whisper yelled in the dark and was replied with a groan.

Kya maut pari hai tumhe?” (What's wrong with you?) Aayan's groggy voice reached her ears and heat crawled up her face when she realized that it sounded too close to her liking.

“Move away from here.” she said through gritted teeth and shoved his face, making him roll over the bed with a yelp.

“Are you insane?!” Aayan growled.

“Shut up, stupid! Do you want to pay that huge amount of fine?” Ifrah whispered harshly.

Her husband let out a scoff. “As if they are standing outside our door with their ears pressed to it.”

“They could be.”

He laughed with disbelief. “Are you for real? What kind of psychos do that? People can be doing God knows what in their rooms.”

Ifrah's face turned beet red at the implimentation and she leaned over to swat his arm in the dark, making him hiss in pain. “Tum baaz a jao in harkaton se, jahil insaan.” (You better desisit from this behaviour.)

“What are you even saying, woman? I didn't do anything!”

“Just shut up.”

“No. You shut up. You woke me up for whatever stupid reason you had and now you're harassing me.”

Ifrah gasped. “What? I'm not harassing you!”

“Yeah,” Aayan drawled. “Chapairain tou mera chacha maar raha hai na mujhy.” (As if my uncle is slapping me.) he said sarcastically, making his wife roll her eyes. But he couldn't see that.

“You know what, my mistake. Just return to sleep.” she grumbled and turned back on her left side before closing her eyes.

“Easy for you to say, witch.” Aayan fired back at her, making her tightly clench her fists.
