"Damn it, I think I really do love you."

That one sentence slips from Nijimura Shuuzou's mouth as he laughs full heartedly at the boy in front of him. This thought came to him around a week ago and he has been thinking about it now and then. Then, this happens. He never meant to say it tho. It just came out naturally when he stares at Akashi Seijuuro's playful smirk he doesn't show to anyone else but Nijimura. Just, when Nijimura is thinking of it like that.. he can't help but to feel that he is special for Akashi. And the words just came out without him realizing.

Akashi's eyes widen. It not shock, or disgust, as Nijimura imagined he would react. It is rather like a confused expression. "What did you just say?" Akashi asks flatly.

There are not much Nijimura can do. He could either brush it off like it was nothing, or be a man and confess. Now, this is a hard choice. And Nijimura choose the later. "You heard what I said, right?" he starts carefully.

Hell. Anyone would say he look calm as fuck but inside Nijimura is burning in embarassment. His heart is beating really fast. All he can do is to clench his fist tightly to fight the urge to run away from this situation right away. It's the first he confess to anyone and it didn't go as ideal as he wants it to. He REAAALLY likes Akashi. Yes, he knows it very well. And because of that he is willing to take the risk of not being able to be his friend anymore. It was all for his love. Or maybe ego.

Akashi casually shoves his popsicle inside his mouth before it melts. "Yea. You clearly said 'I think I really do love you'."

Nijimura drifts his gaze from Akashi. He can't bring himself to look at Akashi's beautiful red eyes nor he can read Akashi's body gesture. He is just expresionless, as if they are having their friendly conversation over. But this is it. This is the moment. The determining moment.

"Yep," Nijimura looks down, trying to hide his burning face, "So? What would you say about it?"

Nijimura heart beats much much faster than ever. He is not confident. He surely thought Akashi will reject him. What to say? All this time they had been all friendly. No flirty encounter. So Nijimura must be insane. What was he thinking? Well, there is a slight chance. Who knows Akashi feels the same way as he is? Then, Nijimura could only rely on that small hope in his heart..

"Are you serious?" Akashi laughs. "Senpai, it isn't funny!"

The hell. Did Nijimura hit his head somewhere? Why did he fall in love with this brat?! Can't he see that Nijimura's face is beet red? He is not playing around, idiot!

"Are you for real..?!" Nijimura curses softly. He turns to Akashi and cries, "Yes! It is indeed not funny. Because I am soo serious about it. Stop fooling around!"

Akashi gives him a small smile in return. "What are you saying?" his voice is husky it made Nijimura feels like he is going to be crazy. "You know that I can't be with a man," he stares at Nijimura mischievously.

Damn this guy!, Nijimura curses in his head. He got rejected but this brat makes it sounds like he still has a chance. Unfortunately for him, Nijimura knows him just too well. He won't hold to those slight chance Akashi is offering to him in attempt to make Nijimura his loyal underlings, desperate for his love. No. He worths much more than that. He wants Akashi to be his. Not to be his master.

Nijimura takes a deep breath, trying to ease off the pain revolting in his heart. It hurts as hell. He might not look like it but he is super serious about Akashi. It is different from all his other crushes. This time, the love feels... definite. When Nijimura remembers all their memories together and the fact they will not be able to spend time like this again, his tears are on the verge of coming out. But he cannot cry there. He needs to look like he is completely okay in order to make Akashi realizes Nijimura won't gives in to his scheme.
