[Princess Emerald's POV]
Well, I have good news for you folks. I've been alive for 4 months in this castle now. And I can confidently tell you that I can walk now. Yes, I was weirded out too. But the fish gave me the ability to walk in this young age. The maids and knights, including my father and brothers were obviously surprised because my brothers started walking when they were 1 year old. I took the advantage to walk and wandered in the Palace
And damn this Palace is actually big.
By the way, the head of the imperial knights is now my personal guard, his name is Quintin Celvin Palsèmoir. He's nice to me, thats good. He also pledged his loyalty to me which is weird because he should be doing that to my father, the Emperor. But my father gave him permission anyways. Also the reason why father appointed him as my personal guard is because, Father doesn't trust me because now that I can walk, he's afraid that his adventurous genes that I may have adapt. Well- that is true. I don't really care as long as I can go out finally! And leave that boring room of mine. Imagine being stuck in there for 4 months! Annoyingly okay, because it was nice in that room. But too much of everything isn't okay.
Anyways, I'm just walking through the hallway while Quin is holding my hand, he had to crouch during the whole walk. I do feel bad for him and I gave him signals that its okay if you don't hold my hand, but he still insisted. You know what?
I tapped his hand and raised my two hands and then said,
"Up, up!" In his perspective I probably looked dumb, but you know what? I don't care. It's his fault for making me feel bad that he had to crouch during the whole walk.
He looked at me with awe and I saw his ear turned red all of a sudden, what a cute 'tough' guard. Haha! You shall be, slave no. 5!
He picked me up and then said,
"You have no idea how cute you are your highness." He said with a deep voice, tsk tsk trying to act tough now aye? I know you're a softie! You don't have to pretend in front of me.
I giggled at him, he's funny. I like how he tries to act tough and cool,I mean that's what the head of the imperial knights would do. But like clearly he's affected by my charms!
"Where does your highness wants to go?" There he goes again, with his deep ass voice.
I pointed to the garden outside, it has a beautiful patio. It looks like its made of crystals? Interesting.
He got what I was trying to say and then walked towards the big door and opened it, and there it is.. The beautiful garden! Haaa.. Fresh air since that 4 months of my life! I signaled him to let me down, which he did. I walked inside the garden and enjoyed the beautiful scenery. There was a LOT of things going on in the garden. Most of the flowers are crystal like, the roses are iridescent, and they look like they could break anytime soon! But when I touched it, it was soft as a cotton candy!
"Haha, I see your highness is interested in the Crystallaine Garden, well we have a lot of garden in the Imperial Palace. But this one, is what the Empress treasured the most." Quin said out of the blue.
My mother? I can see why she liked it. It's so beautiful! I walked passed the iridescent roses and the crystal patio. I was shook when I saw this big tree! Its like 5 trees put into one place.. How? This tree is changing colors? But it was grey and now its.. purple with a hint of iridescent and crystals.. The leaves are so beautiful!
"Looks like, it chose its owner once again." Quin then said and gave me a smile.
Chose its owner? I-i'm the owner of this tree now!?
"Yes, your highness." Quin then replied, woah he can read my mind?
"Haha, I can see how the Emperor likes you very much. You're smart your highness. No, I cannot read your mind. It's just written all over your face." Quin laughed after he said that.
