Riot doesn't get to check out the campus with the Winchesters, but it becomes pretty apparent that it didn't pan out when they come back to the car empty-handed. Then they're off to some diner, where Sam orders Dean a hamburger and all Riot can think about for a solid 30 seconds is how much he wants a hamburger, too. He sits down by Dean's feet, looking up at him anxiously.

Dean is so wrapped up in his burger, he doesn't even notice. The guy moans so loud, if Riot couldn't see him, he would have thought he was having sex.

Maybe he's enjoying this burger more than Riot would, anyway.

Sam starts explaining something to Dean that Riot catched parts of, but, mostly, he just comes to the conclusion that Kevin had been on campus. That's about all he needs to know, anyway.

Then he starts explaining something with hacking into websites and IP addresses and tracking logins, and this time, Riot's actually lost. Are all hunters this tech savvy?

"That is spectacular work," Dean says.

Riot will have to take his word for it.

"Any chance I can get that in English?"

And that answers one question — not all hunters are this tech savvy at all.

Sam doesn't seem phased by Dean's inability to follow along, because he just turns his computer around for Dean to see. Unfortunately, Riot's too short in his dog form to know what it says.

"I think he's in Iowa," Sam says. "At a coffee shop."

"Awesome," Dean says before shoving the rest of his burger in his mouth.

Riot whimpers softly. He didn't expect Dean to give it to him, but he was at least hoping for a little taste.

Dean looks down at him disdainfully, but, when he sees Riot really working those puppy dog eyes, he sighs. "Here." He hands Riot a french fry, and Riot eats it immediately. Ah, salt. He loves salt.

"Dude!" Sam takes the rest of Dean's fries away immediately. "You can't give him fries!"

"Why not?" Dean asks. "He took it. He ate it. He's still here. I think we're doing fine."

"Because dogs aren't supposed to eat fries, dumbass," Sam snaps. "He could get sick."

Dean eyes Riot for a moment. "A dog that size? Over one fry?" He shakes his head. "I'm gonna have to call your bluff on that one."

"Are you really gonna risk having a dog puke on your back seat?" Sam asks.

Dean freezes at that.

"Mm," Sam hums. He gives his brother his fries back. "Didn't think so."

Riot whimpers and lies down. He just wanted some food. Is that too much to ask for?
