Feeling Strange (Crypto x Mirage)

Chapter 3: "It's hard to be scared, if you're prepared."

(Crypto's POV) 

We decided to land in Skyhook.  Where almost everyone was, great. Once we landed, there was at least three squads literally 10 feet away from our building. Lifeline and Mirage started going down the floors collecting loot as I stayed on the roof doing the same. I manage to get a Wingman with 6 shots before reloading and a level 1 body shield and a helmet. I hear a door open and shots were fired in the floor below me. "We need backup, there's another squad, and Mirage is down." Lifeline said to me through the mic. I sneak by the squad I hid behind a side of the shelf.

I enter my drone and saw everything. Bloodhound and Bangalore attacking Lifeline's left and Gibraltar attacking from the front. I leave my drone and start walking by the opening of the shelf, I shoot each of them twice in the head. And I end up finishing the squad. "Great job Crypto, you really showed them, " Lifeline said pulling out her heath drone so Mirage can heal. "Yeah... thank you kid," said Mirage lightly blushing and nervously laughing. I felt my face get warmer, shocked that he thanked me. "Cheonman-eyo" (English Translation: You're Welcome)  I replied bluntly, turning away as I started looking into my drone for more squads.

(Mirage's POV)

I wondered why Crypto was blushing over what I said, he looked so cute hiding his face from us. I kept thinking about how Crypto basically saved our asses back there. I've might have been a jerk to the kid earlier, he's not half bad. Maybe I'll apologize to him after this. After we looted the squad that Crypto eliminated, we were leaving Skyhook, and then we saw the train slowing down, we ran towards it jumped on. "It looks like the loots boxes haven't been opened yet. Uliege johgo, geudeul-ege nappeuda." Crypto said as he starts to open up one of the loot boxes. (English Translation: Good for us, bad for them). All of sudden, Crypto aimed at me with the Charge Rifle. " Heyyyyy, I'm the old man remember?" I said as I nervously laughed. He winked at me and shot behind me, inches from my body. I turned around and see Caustic fall back on to the floor, he was dead. "Nice shot kiddo, you almost made me break a sweat." I cheerfully said kinda hoping he'd laugh. "Good one," he said giggling a bit. I don't know why I was happy to see him laugh, I enjoyed it... if that's not weird. Ajay spoke into the mic worried, "Get off the train there's an airstrike!". "Dammit, an airstrike," Crypto said running towards me. "Kinda thought I was going to die just there," I told him . "Don't be an idiot," he said pushing us off the train. "I'M  NOT AN IDIOT!" I say back to him as we're in the air for a bit.
