"You finish yet?" My little sister kept asking me all day.
"Nope, maybe after an hour or so." I told her while reaching out to get some wires.
She walked out of my laboratory with a slight pout covering her chubby face.
Today would be the 183rd day that I'm making a cyborg. I installed different kind of software in him, and even injected him the DNA of my deceased boyfriend.
I hope he functions like a human.
"Fuck." I hissed through my mouth.
I keep on trying and trying every code just to make this thing work.
But it just freaking won't.
I was about to attach its arm, but I threw it out of frustration instead.
I scratched my head and exhaled so hard.
"Sweetie." I looked up and saw my mom enter my laboratory and pick up my cyborgs arm in the process.
"Look. I don't know why you're making a cyborg, if it is a school project or what, but you know, you can always come inside the house and take a break." She smile and handed me the cyborgs arm.
Next day
"Yo." Someone slapped my back.
When I turned around it was Gia, my bestfriend.
"Yo." I responded quite unhappy.
"Sooooo, how's the cyborg thingy you've been trying to build?" When I remembered it, my mood suddenly fell from 75% to 25%.
"Ow. Guess I already know the answer. Don't worry, you'll eventually figure out the code for it to work." She winked at me.
"Hope so." I replied with a hint of smile across my face.
The bell rang to signify that classes will start soon.
"C'mon. I don't wanna be late for programming." I nodded and the next thing I knew Gia was pulling me with her just to get on our class in time.
We were actually out of breath when we reached the room.
I sat on my working station and opened my machine.
This year 2078, computers were made of holograms and can be opened by simply swiping your hand on top of the operating machine.
Cool huh?
"Hey." Gia whispered beside me.
"What?" I answered quietly.
"Did you finish your homework?" She scratched the back of her neck and smiled sheepishly.
I grabbed something from my pocket and handed it to her.
"Copy the one named after you. I already did it. I was quite actually anticipating you having no homework." She quickly grabbed the USB in my hand and inserted it in her operating machine.
