&! Red. Red everywhere. On the walls, splattered in a random pattern. On the girl's favorite pajama set. Her arms trembled as she wrapped them around the necks of her dying parents. She was having trouble understanding what had just taken place in her family's two bedroom home at the corner of Saint and Harrison. Her senses were filled with the smell of copper and the shrill sound of police sirens. A rough but soothing hand came down on her shoulder causing her grasp around her dead parents to fall. She turned around to face the owner of the hand that rested on her body.
