"A QUIRK ASSESSMENT TEST?!"
A shocking turn of events for the first day of school was quickly unveiling for the twenty-one students that made up class 1-A. This sudden Quirk assessment was, in turn, followed from another previous shocking situation; their homeroom teacher, Shota Aizawa. Bakugou had only been in his presence for about five minutes, and in those five minutes, he had been utterly convinced he had never seen a more worn-out heap of human flesh in his life. Granted he hasn't always been the easiest kid for any adult to handle, even as a grade schooler, but not even the most stressed out adult in charge of his care had ever looked so sleep deprived and lackluster. It was almost hard to believe that this shaggy, yellow-sleeping-bag crawling man was a professional hero.
Bakugou's eyes had glanced around his fellow classmates, all lined up and outside in their newly issued UA gym uniforms, and found his eyes continuously gravitating to two particular people. One was, of course, the damn Deku, who seemed to plant himself in the protection of the four-eyed nerd from Somei and some round-face girl who seemed rather friendly to him.
The other was the bookworm, who stood away from him. From what he could see, it looked as if she was the ear to the one-sided conversation of another girl who was entirely pink. The pink girl didn't seem to mind that the bookworm had not responded to her once the entire time up until the teacher announced what they were doing. That girl was almost as lackluster as their new teacher...albeit it, the bookworm seemed well-rested.
"Kumi. My name is Ichiko Kumi."
It pissed him off that, out of all of the extras among his class, it was her name that he managed to remember first, thanks to the incident in the classroom. No...he'd forget it! He'd definitely, without a doubt, forget her name and merely refer to her solely as the shitty Bookworm! That was a promise!
Coming out of his head, he noticed the round face girl had asked a question, "What about the entrance ceremony? The orientation?!"
"If you're going to become a hero, you don't have time for such leisurely events," The worn out homeroom teacher responded, glancing at her from behind his shoulder, "UA's selling point is how unrestricted its school traditions are. That's also how the teacher runs their classes."
That shouldn't have been surprising...it wasn't as if anyone who managed to get into the UA hero course was there to play around. Bakugou sure as hell wasn't...who cared about some damn orientation or ceremony? Just skip ahead to where he could blast his way to the top!
"You kids have been doing this since junior high, too, right?" Aizawa asked, raising a smart phone, where it looked like there were logged results from each student on the screen, "Physical fitness tests where you weren't allowed to use your Quirks. This country still uses averages taken from results from students not using their Quirks. It's not rational. Well, the Ministry of Education is procrastinating."
Aizawa turned his head and, surprisingly, met eyes with Bakugou of all people, "Bakugou, you finished at the top of the practical exam, right?" he asked, "In junior high, what was your best result for the softball throw?"
A little surprised he started with him, Bakugou paused for a moment before returning to his usual slanted stare and answered, "67 meters..."
"Then, try doing it with your Quirk."
That again was surprising...honestly, Bakugou had spent a great deal of his childhood being told to restrain from using his Quirk (most notably ever since the time in around his first year of elementary school when he got carried away showing off and set off a sprinkler system, in which the school honestly took a lot of pity on him considering it was just an accident), but now he was being instructed to retake a fitness test using his Quirk. Sure, this was the UA hero course, but where he was so used to teachers being so cautious about Quirk usage, even he didn't think he'd be allowed to fully use it like this on the first day.
