Now we're set five years later for our pride invested duo. Izuku and Katsuki have flown through school and are now getting ready for their freshman year of high school. Izuku was found sitting at home waiting for Katsuki to come over. Today seemed to be one of the rare days his mother had time off. The curious boy asked why his mom was never home going off the curiosity that has built up for years which to his mom replies "It doesn't concern you, hun. I simply do what I need to do to provide what is needed."

Izuku being naive replies with a certain question that completely sets her off.
"Can you just not...end up like the fucked up guy I seem to call a father..." Inko drops the plate she was holding and slaps the boy across the face.
"HOW DARE YOU! YOU REALLY THINK I'D END UP LIKE THAT ASSHOLE" Inko screamed with venom. Izuku was beyond horrified by his mother's reaction. He didn't know what to say. He knew his mom has been feeling and acting differently lately, but to him, this was fairly new and his mother was usually used to his roundabout cursing. He just didn't want to lose his mother like he did his father.

He had a lot of mixed emotions regarding his father but most of it was anger. Over the years he realized his mother was becoming more and more distant making him think the situation with his father was going to repeat. He didn't want to lose her, he didn't want to be alone. So in the heat of the moment, Izuku shot back at his mom. Which was something he never would have thought of doing in all the years he has lived so far.

"DON'T YOU REALIZE YOU WERE NEVER THERE FOR ME?! IT WAS ALWAYS AUNT MISTUKI! ALL YOU CARED ABOUT WAS YOUR FUCKING JOB AND NEVER WANTED TO MAKE THE GODDAMN TIME FOR ME! JUST LIKE MY FUCK UP OF A FATHER THAT- OH WAIT? I DON'T EVEN KNOW!"

Inko froze in place as Izuku finished screaming. He hit the wall with his fist using his immense amount of strength, breaking the wall and causing an outage. Due to his uncontrollable emotions, electricity shocked his mother and made her shriek. After realizing what he just did he quickly covered his mouth in horror.
"Get out." Izuku looked at his mother wondering what she was mumbling.
   "W-What...?"

"GET OUT YOU PIECE OF SHIT!!!" Inko threw books and other items at her son in a rage. Not realizing what she was saying. All she saw was her forgotten husband at the moment.
"LEAVE! LEAVE! LEAVE! JUST LIKE YOU ALWAYS FUCKING DO!" Izuku was shocked at her reply to his outburst but out of respect to his mother, he opened the door, mumbled a short apology and left.

Inko couldn't control herself and threw many things at the door before falling to the ground on her knees. She started to sob regretting her reply to her son's statement. She couldn't believe what she did, but deep down under all the guilt. She was still angry. Angry at who though? All she saw in her son during the argument was her husband. So maybe...she was mad at her husband? No...she was mad at Izuku. Mad at him for prying and leaving, just like her husband did, but it was normal for kids to do that? Inko had no idea what to think anymore. All she did was continue to have these thoughts and sob. Waiting for her son to come back so she could apologize.

After a couple of minutes of walking off, Izuku found himself at Katsuki's house getting ready to knock on the door. He knocked slightly as tears ran down his face. Masaru, Izuku's uncle (or Godfather) and Katsuki's father opened the door to the crying Midoriya. Before he could ask, Izuku ran into the room that Mitsuki made for him when he was smaller.

Izuku, angry and miserable at the same time, didn't know how to react. He punched his bed, the drawers, the wall. Anything that was in his reach. This resulted in Izuku's quirk becoming uncontrollable. Teleporting electricity flying everywhere in the room to different spaces over and over again. Masaru cracked the door open to check and knew this wasn't good. Izuku was a lot like Katsuki with his arrogant and prideful attitude, but they never had problems with him when it came to tantrums. He just never seemed to have any. Masaru quickly closes the door and runs to Mitsuki trying to fix the situation.

Mistuki takes a look and is shocked by Izuku's episode. If she didn't know the boy, she would have instantly thought he needed anger management. She walks into the room and sets off explosions to get Izuku's attention. The boy quits and falls on his knees saying nothing. Katsuki comes in and shuffles quietly to the side of the room. Mitsuki tries to touch the young Midoriya but a shock reaches the hand. Katsuki being alarmed hits him across the face and then turns his face towards his direction.
"Better calm down you Lil fucker or I'll make sure I beat the shit out of you here and in the afterlife." Izuku looks at him with dull eyes and apologizes under his breath for hurting his mother. They may be best friends and brothers but Katsuki refused to let his mother get hurt. No matter who it was.

The young Bakugou sighed as he let go of Izuku's face.
"Don't tell me what happened. First, you need to relax, asshole." Katsuki scoffs after telling Izuku to chill. In silence, he glares at Midoriya and then leaves the room with his mother. Mitsuki wraps a bandage around her hand as she sighs
"He's so unstable right now...I wonder what could have happened to make him like this..." The ash-blonde boy turns towards his mother nodding in agreement to her statement.
"Are you okay though...?" He asks, visibly concerned. His mother nods as she tries to relieve her boy
"You know yourself that Izuku wouldn't purposely hurt me."

"The fucker still did." Katsuki quickly shot back. Mitsuki hits her son across the head smiling at him. She was glad the boy was caring under all that attitude. About a month later Izuku still hasn't left the house, not that they mind though. Due to the fight between him and his mother and hurting Mitsuki. Izuku developed a slight fear regarding his quirk and hasn't used it since. He would come out of the room to refresh and eat here and there, but that was it. Katsuki, becoming inpatient bangs on his door rapidly waiting for him to open it.

Izuku opens the door and mumbles a yes towards him. The young Bakugou yanks him out of the room and takes him outside. They continue to walk until they make it to U.A. Izuku looks at Katsuki with an annoyed look and jerks his hand out of his grip.
"I'm not going into any shitty hero courses..." Izuku grumbles. The ash-blonde rolls his eyes and ignores him.
"I'll give you years. Two years and we will come back to this school and do the exams." Izuku gives a simple nod of silence as he walks off and Katsuki sighs in defeat as he follows behind.

A/N: Emphasis on Inko's Character in this chapter in case you haven't caught the hints in the previous chapter or this one, but she suffers from PTSD. Izuku reminds her a lot of her husband and she was verbally abused by him. So the remarks and snarky things that Izuku says can really get to her. Because of this, Izuku was often hit or worse which to Inko's dismay only made things worse on both their parts. Having a parent suffer from something like this can really get to the child and affect them too. Of course, Inko wouldn't be able to realize that because she works her self to death. Not to mention, she does that purposely cause most of the time she can't handle seeing Izuku's face. Not only because he reminds her of his father but also because there are times where she realizes it's her son and can't handle the fact that she hurt him. Inko's character is very complicated and broken in this story, but it also makes out Izuku's problematic personality. Inko really does love her boy but it is perceived in a very different way to where Izuku wouldn't be able to understand at all because its something he has endured since a little kid. Enduring something like this can make the mindset thing it's normal especially if it's received at a young age.
