I sat on the edge of my bed in my room, clenching my hands into fists, over and over. There was no fire. I'm not crazy I know my hands were on fire. Sighing I looked at the clock on my phone, 3:30pm. I had 11 missed calls from Ian and 24 texts.

Maybe I was acting a bit childish, but we've been friends for 13 years and I've liked him for 5 of that. He was best friend.

Slowly I got up from my bed running a hand through my messy hair. Long blonde ringlets fell to my mid back. I decided I should shower if I wanted to go to the pep-rally tonight. Every first day of school the district holds a

pep-rally to get everyone reved for football season. The c party usually  ends up with the band playing, and people drunk. Not really my scene but I'm in the band it's mandatory to be there. Begrudgingly I took my shower.

I walked into the rallies parking lot. There were so many people here. A big bonfire going in the background, smoke was rolling into the sky. There was a big take of food and drinks on  the far end, and a car we smash everyear on the eve of the big game to kick off football season.

I got a hotdog and my drink and was waking around when I felt a tap on my shoulder. I quickly returned around and saw Ian. He smiled brightly showing his bright teeth all in a perfect line. His dark raven hair tall and spikey, a contrast to his pale skin and sea green eyes. He was wearing dark jeans and a white striped shirt.

I glared at him daring him to say anything.

"Why are you mad at me?"  He asked sadly.

"What about our movie night?"  I asked chomping on my hotdog smugly.

"That's what this is about? Why didn't you say so? Ill pick you up saturday at 7:00 okay?" He asked aggitated. I stayed put.

We have a movie night the last Friday of every month. With happened to be this Friday. How could he not expect me to be mad?

"Fine!" I said smiling hugging him.

"The band already perform?"

"Yep, sorry." I fake pouted.

"Hate the band anyway." He teased. I smacked his arm.

"Sorry to interrupt." The English boy intervened.

"Your not forgiven." I joked smiling at the tense boy.  He smiled back slightly and rubbed his neck.

"Dude what's your name? " Ian asked pushing

me behind him slightly.

"Daniel."

"Nice to meet you Daniel,  I'm Ian. " Instead of shaking hands they glared eachother down.

After the bonfire was lit and everybody was practically hammered, Ian included.  I was walking around talking to people. My hands were burning and my head was thumping from the dull ticking sound.

"Watch out! !!" I heard a football player call in my direction.  Withiut thinking I threw up my hand in an effort to stop the ball. Instead fire went everywhere.

I scremed and flug down making my hand a flame thrower. People started running and screaming. I was yelling for help, my arms now engulfed in the flame. People where yelling for me to stop and roll. So I did and it didn't work. Then I realized something.....

The flames didn't hurt.

Then I saw Daniel running to my aid. He bent down to help me up. His arms were strong and he was sturdy.

"Move! " I yelled at him.  He immediately  stoped but continued anyway. He stopped in front of me looking me in the eyes.

"You need to calm down and breathe." He said in a soothing tone, his eyes dialated and I calmed down. Suddenly the flame was gone. Daniel grabbed my arms and pulled me to him. He smelled really good.  He walked me home as the the sky started to get really dark. The stars started shining and all I could see was the street lights and shadows of cars. Houses lined the streets. Were In a residential area.

"Daniel where are we?" I asked as we walked.

"Home. " He said simply.

"I don't live this way."

"Don't worry love it's a  night allow me to walk you home as I get to know you?" I nodded smiling slightly. Daniel smiled at me as we contuined our journey.

The walk home was long and I found  out Daniel

Is an only child, his favorite color is blue like me. He likes  travel,  and he likes all kinds of music.  I felt this to be the beginning of a wonderful friendship.

Daniel walked me to my door. I turned to say a quick thank you but Daniel was gone.  I shrugged it off and went to sleep.  I want asleep long though at about 3 AM the fire alarm went off. I woke up in a sweat and saw there was smoke everywhere. I reached to grab my cell phone but it was gone.  Finding no time to look I grabbed my  leather jackets and converse and  ran out the front door.

Mom.  WHERE'S MY MOM?  Frantically I searched for my mom.  She was nowhere to be found.  The firetrucks pulled up to my house. Spraying down the rubble.  I sobbed now fearing the worst that my mom was lost in the fire.   I feel to my knees.

The fire was nearly gone as I felt during arms  wrap around my waist.  I kicked and screamed  as the stranger dragged me away.  He took me into the woods behind the old high school lot.  Then I blacked out.
