He just sat there; from the look on his face he has no idea where to start explaining.

"They, your parents, were my mentors they wanted to teach me how to control my flames, they treated me like a son. One day someone showed up, Ravier, and told me they were lying to me, that they were jealous of my powers and were trying to suppress them. He taught me to give in to the flames; he taught me techniques that were forbidden. My flames started to control me instead of the other way around and I burned down a building. There is a whole other law department for magical beings; I didn't go to reformatory school I went to Zelthric the prison for bad seeds (only for minors). And your parents left you to me because there are people out there that want to use your powers, you were prophesised to blast magic in a new era. No one has ever had two elemental disciplines, I was surprised to find out you did."His words are rushed and confusing. Questions riddle my brain; what am I supposed do now, what does this mean for me?

"Whoa.....so you aren't my brother." I say with a huge grin

"That's what you got out of all that."

"It's the only thing that meant anything to me .Why were you so reluctant to do anything with me then?"

"My fire is controlled my emotions I would've burnt you to a crisp it can only be neutralised when another elemental is close." He looks around for important things that he hastily throws in a duffelbag.

"So now that I'm a magical saviour thingy...." I trail of as I put my arms around his head.

"Yes" Donavan replies as he undresses me with his eyes "All in due time. Your surge was like a magical beacon we have to go before they find us" He reluctantly removes my arms to continue his pursuit of things to put in the bag.

"What about our lives here, your job, my school."

"None of that matters anymore Avery. Everything has changed, you can't live a normal live anymore. We have to go to a safe house where you'll be trained."

"Trained for what"

"A revolution."

"I don't.... are you sure I'm the one they prophesised about, I'm not really that amazing, trust me I'd know."

"There is no question about it; your birthmark on your shoulder is the symbol for the saviour"

Suddenly the reality of all this weighs down on my shoulder like a boulder "I can't do this I'm hardly good at being a normal human I can't lead magicians."

He reaches for my hands, "Look at me, you are stronger and braver then you know and I know that you are perfect for this. It's a great burden to bear but it is also a honour."

Something bites at me and a question starts to form."What is there to revolutionise against"

"Our justice department has become corrupt, only a select few magicians are allowed to practice magic the others are suppressed in cruel ways, That's why your parents hid you and hid this world from you."

It's just too much to take in.

"I know you have questions and they will be answered but we have to go every second we spend here is dangerous"

He takes my hand and leads me to the car. It's not the same car he used before, It's a pale blue minivan with tinted windows. "What happened to your other car?"

"It's traceable this is safer. I already packed your things so we can go immediately."

"You've been busy while I've been asleep."

"I had to be busy our lives depend on it"

We get in the car and travel in silence; I use the time to just stare at him. He's so different now, driven. The secrets blocked him from showing a big piece of his personality, a beautiful piece of his personality. He owns the sun as it glistens on his skin, normally the light bounces of people but he absorbs the light it is the most fascinating thing I've ever seen. My eyes are heavy and want to close but all I want to do is stare at him get to know everything about him. Unfortunately sleep overcomes me and I drift away in nothingness.
