Under the dim light of the moon and thousands of stars, their silhouette remained hidden. But to Hawk, the girl in front of him was as bright as the morning sun.
His fingertips gently brushed the strands covering her cheek and rested on her neck, before his lips found its way to hers. The warmth from her lips alone spread through his veins. His heart skipped a beat, and he was certain the sound of their breathings and heartbeats were the only ones heard in the beautiful night.
His arm encircled her waist, closing the gap between them.
Rose struggled for air as Hawk let go, her breath unsteady and her heart beat furiously. She looked up and met his eyes swirling in emotions. Anticipation, affection, she couldn't tell.
Hawk gazed hungrily at her and leaned in. He slightly tilted his head and moved his hand to her head, closing his eyes shut.
Rose allowed her hand to travel onto Hawk's broad chest and shoulder. Clenching the fabric of his shirt lightly, she returned the kiss as passionate.
He kissed even deeper and harder. She elicited a gasp as his tongue teased her lips and teeth, forcing her to open her mouth and let him take over. She gripped tighter, feeling her legs was about to give up. Noticing her wobbly state, Hawk made sure to embrace her even firmer.
As they withdrew from the long, sweet kiss, Hawk could feel the heat creeping up his face. Rose tried to calm her raging heart and noticed the tip of his ears and cheeks were tinged bright crimson, even if it was dark.
"We should go back." Hawk sighed, giving his girlfriend an apologetic smile. "They're probably looking for us."
Without hesitation, Rose nodded. Walking hand-in-hand, they left the small carnation garden– a secret place for their secret night rendezvous.
