Chapter One

"Veronica! Veronica!!"

"What?!" She yelled pulling her hair into a ponytail.

"Come on we have to leave! You can't be late on your first day!"

"I'm coming!"

Veronica raced down the stairs her skirt flying behind her. Grabbing her bag and her books. 

"Let me have one last look at you"

Her dad came out of the kitchen. His white dress shirt being held up with brown suspenders.

"Now girls remember my one rule. Absolutely no boys. No dating!"

"Yes daddy." Sarah giggled giving him a peck on the cheek before going out to the car.

Sarah had been dating behind his back for months now with Joey Morton. And Veronica promised never to tell her secret. 

"You too V."

"Yes, Dad."

She replied before getting out of the door. Jumping into the car seat beside Sarah. 

"You ever going to tell him?"

"No Roni. You know how he is. You're lucky I even told you about Joey. But I mean you would have found out anyways you starting at my school now and all."

Sarah Price was one of the most popular girls in the school. And Sarah was sure that Veronica was going to be the same way. But Veronica didn't care and frankly, didn't want boys to be all over her all of the time like they were for Sarah. The Price girls were a tease because everyone in the neighbourhood knew they weren't allowed to date which made them even more intriguing.

After what seemed like a forever drive of Sarah explaining the whole dynamic of the school and her constantly apologizing every time she got to close to another car and them honking her they made it to George Washington High School. 

"Hey, baby." 

A tall boy with slicked-back black hair made his way to Sarah's window and opened the door for her. 

"Hi" she replied giving him a quick peck on the cheek

" 'Ronica" He said nodding 

"Joey" Veronica replied.

"Have a good day Roni tell me if anyone has given ya trouble ok?"

She then walked away with Joey's hand brushing past her butt too many times to make it seem accidental.

Taking a deep breath she walked toward the doors of her new high school. Ignoring the stares everyone gave her. And the guys nodding their heads in her direction. It wasn't every day they got a new Price Sister.

But she soon noticed off to the side there was a small boy being beaten up.

They were yelling things at him like "You wanna do that again Rogers?" and taunting him. Great another school another set of bullies.

"Veronica Price?"

The secretary asked.

"Yes, Ma'm" she replied before taking the schedule out of her hand.

"There you go have a good day hon- James!" She yelled.

She only noticed now there was a boy behind her with a bloody nose standing in the doorway.

"This is the third fight this month young man when will you learn?"

"I'm trying Ms. Caraway its Steve he always-"

"It's always Steve isn't James I don't want to hear it today get to class."

"Yes Ma'm" he nodded towards her and left.

"Sorry about that Veronica The boys here are always getting into fights especially that one."

"Thank you have a good day" Now picking up her bag and leaving the office.
