Hyunjin's anxiety was shooting to the roof, He was up next.
the sound of people cheering for his teammate and the opponent was fading, all he could here was a loud beep in his ear.
His heart was racing, the swimmers reached the other side, he was expected next.
Then, he remembered his bitchy opponent.

a few hours before

"you're hwang hyunjin right?" an unfamiliar voice said.
"yeah...w-why?" Hyunjin asked.
"I'm Choi San, you don't look like someone who swims..." He smirked. Hyunjin gave him a confused look.

"what...do you mean?"

"oh nothing...don't get too upset when you lose though." He smirked and walked away.
"thats IF i lose, asshole."

Hyunjin glared at the water and cracked his neck, mentally preparing himself.
'don't embarrass yourself, your crush is watching, idiot.' he reminded himself.

"Number 32 and 33." The speakers echoed.
Hyunjin took a deep breath and went towards the coach, taking notice of San's smirk.

Both the boys dived in sync, cheers and yells could be distantly heard as both boys rushed to the other side with all their strength.
Unfortunately, San was slightly ahead. He kicked his legs arrogantly, getting too much water in his face. Hyunjin on the other side, was more softer and careful with his movements. He controlled his breath and focused on the ground while swimming.

The two boys were now neck to neck, So close to the other side, people were betting that they'd probably tie. But no, Hyunjin didn't want to tie, he wanted to win. He had advantage, san lifted his head slightly to breathe. Without further ado, the taller zoomed pass him, not forgetting to kick his legs arrogantly yet gently.

"aaaand, Hwang Hyunjin wins!"

Cheers mixed with sounds of disappointment could be heard. He got out of the water, watching as San and his friends glared at him with a proud smirk.
"Hey Hyunjin! you did so well!" Seungmin congratulated him. The taller blushed and thanked him with a big smile.
"i've been meaning to ask you um....would you like to go on a date with m-me?" Seungmin flushed in embarrassment. Hyunjin felt the air knock out of him, choking a little.
"a-a date?! OF COURSE- i mean...o-of course!!" Hyunjin smiled, ears turning pink.

"great!! i'll text you when and where on discord."
