Iduna POVWrapping mother's shawl tightly around me, I shudder against the cold north wind.
"It's quite cold isn't it Gale?" I mumble glancing to my left as the leaves swirl about in the air.
A smile forms on my face, as the leaves swirl around me.
"Iduna?" Asta chirps from behind me, her eyes are glued at the spot beside me.
'Mhm?" I ask raising an eyebrow glimpsing towards her.
"Gale is quite invisible so how do you know he's actually here. How do you know it's not an imposter Gale?" Asta questioned quite bluntly, her eyes narrowing towards where Gale was.
My lips curl into a bigger smile, a laugh escaping my mouth as she stared at me with all seriousness.
"What!" Asta questions pouting at me as my laughter subdues"n-nothing" I smile biting gently upon my lower lip from letting another laugh slip.
"Well firstly there is only one Gale and secondly no is as playful as Gale" I smile back to which she thinks thoughtfully.
My hands grip tightly around the bowl full of warm soup, the heat sending a tingling sensation through my body. The leaves on the ground of where I sat gave a fiery glow, Asta's smile grew as she zoned back into reality.
'Thank you Bruni" Mother thanked the small salamander as it set the firewood ablaze. Bruni climbed into the palm of mother's hand, she delicately let him hop from one hand to another as he cooled down.
The loud whistle of the kettle echoed as the water began to warm, Asta snuggled closer to me as the fire emitted warmth. This autumn hadn't been the best autumn with the sharp freezing wind as well as the rain. Yet it still was the best due to the fact the Arendellians were coming today which meant everyone had been quite busy with the preparations also giving me more time to play with Gale without being disturbed.
I think it was exactly 1 year ago when we and the Arendellians came together for a peace treaty. In return, they gifted the forest a large dam, which was quite generous of them. Only just a few weeks ago did the construction finally finish though the Nokk didn't seem to have liked it as well as Father. To be fair it seemed as if he didn't like the Arendellians though I found no reason too. Now they are visiting the forest I guess to make the treaty 'official'.
'Iduna? Iduna finish your soup before it gets cold" mother scolds me as I glance up to her.
A smile is on her face as we lock eyes, she gestures to the bowl in my hand with the untouched soup.
"Ok fine" I pout raising the bowl as I take a sip.
"Asta finish yours too" Mother chuckles glancing to her bowl, which had also been untouched.
I feel the gust of wind spin around me almost knocking over my bowl of soup.
"You seem excited Gale" Asta chirps glancing around as Gale spins around in the tent.
Mother chuckles "he always is this playful" her eyes not leaving the fire spirit that rested upon her hands "seems like Bruni likes the coldness of my hands"
Resting her palm upon the floor I watched as Bruni crawled towards me and Asta. My smile grew as it climbed onto Asta's arm as she giggled.
"Mother is the Prince of Arendelle coming," Asta asked a smile upon her face lifting her gaze from the blue salamander.
I rolled my eyes, it had been Asta's '' dream'' to see the Prince who she found out existed only yesterday yet seemed to know everything about him as well as that she started to have the dream of meeting him yesterday as well which I found quite amusing.
