Jay has cracked open a beer and was laying low for the night. The case was easy so he got off of work a little early. Around 9:30 there was a soft knock at his door. He checked the peephole and smiled at who it was. " nice pant suit," Jay said with his goofy grin. " Shut up its been a long day," Erin said playing with her bracelet," You doing anything?" " Just watching your press conference wanna come in?" She nodded her head a stepped into the apartment she called home. " Jay I gotta tell you something," Erin said avoiding eye contact. " What up," he asked as he sat back down on the couch? " I leave in 24 hours for Argentina with the FBI team we could be out there for as long as a year." Jay looked shock and sad which made Erin kinda sad. " That's big." " I still have 24 hours wanna make the most of it." The both laughed and went into Jays bedroom where they had one of the best nights ever. The sun beamed through the window onto the bed where the 2 adults lay. Jay body operated like a heater to keep Erin barely clothed body warm. She open her eyes slowly and saw Jays blue ones looking at her. " You know I wise man once told me it was rude to stare Halstead," Erin said with a slight chuckle. " Well what can I say your beautiful hard not to stare." Erin picked her phone up off her desk and checked the time. " Shit my flight leave in 4 hours I gotta start getting ready I've barely packed," Erin said as she started putting on her clothes. " So your really leaving," Jay asked as his voice became sad? " Yeah I am do I want to no but they need my skills." " After this is over are you going back to Intelligence," Jay asked as he put on a clean shirt? " I don't know maybe this will be a permanent position." " Wow I guess I just didn't imagine you being anywhere else." " Yeah neither did I." They sat down and had breakfast and coffee together and chatted before they said their finial goodbyes. Erin had mixed emotions about leaving but knew she was ready it was time for a change.
