Nobody knows how the ghosts got there. All anybody knew was that the local coffee shop was inhabited by ghosts. They didn't disturb the workers or the customers. Their relationship was actually on the contrary. They helped the workers reach things on the top shelf, and all the locals knew every one of their names. At times, the ghosts annoyed a customer by haunting their coffee cup (or something like that), and sometimes they got in a fight. But usually, nobody got mad. They would just scold the ghost and go on with their day.
The coffee shop was special like that, and everyone was used to the ghosts. It was a way of life for inhabitants of the small New England town.
Nobody thought that the ghosts would ever leave. But it turns out that they were wrong.
