As Marie pulled her yellow station wagon into the small parking lot of Cream & Sugar, she heard loud sounds from inside the coffee shop.
"What the-" She yanked her keys out of the ignition and ran inside, just in time to witness a huge jug of hot coffee fall to the ground and spill all over the wood floor.
Marie stopped to take in the scene. The customers were huddled in a corner of the small shop, and paper coffee cups were squished and littered across the floor.
Rose, a barista, ran out of the kitchen. Her glasses were askew, and her short hair was messy and it seemed like sugar had somehow gotten into it. "Good morning Marie! A bit crazy, isn't it?"
Marie dodged as a glass platter shattered above her head. "What's going on?"
"I don't know! Nobody has been able to get back to the kitchen this morning. We were thinking maybe you could send Ellie?"
"Of course, Ellie always helps with the ghosts. I'll get her right away."
