NAMJOON walked towards the cafeteria– well, more like followed people to it since he had no idea where it was. JooHyun had shown him his locker, and sadly, it wasn't anywhere near her own locker. The female alpha had been his only friend as of now, and he was afraid that might not be able to make other friends. It didn't matter too much to the male alpha; people ain't shit anyway, is what Namjoon had always told himself. He has himself, that's the only thing that matters to him.
Namjoon got to the cafeteria, scanning the room full of alphas, trying to look for JooHyun. Instead, he spotted that asshole; Jaebum. He was sitting with a bunch of his other friends. He looked smug, glaring at other alphas every time they passed by him or tried to lock eyes. He pissed Namjoon off, but this was the first day of school. He had already made a scene in class because he couldn't control himself. It was better to just blend in with the crowd and not attract any attention.
Namjoon felt a hand on his lower back, dangerously close to his ass. He growled, turning around and catching their arm in his hand, but only for him to turn his expression into shock. "Noona! Why would you do that?" Namjoon whined at the pretty girl, JooHyun laughing.
"Sorry, just wanted to surprise you. Come on, let's go get lunch and sit where I always sit. It's my favourite spot, no one dares to take it." JooHyun started to walk away, Namjoon following behind the female.
After getting their lunch– which surprisingly looked digestible, Namjoon followed JooHyun to the corner of the room, sitting down on the chair. The table was round, not fairly big, but still had lots of space and he was surprised to see not many people sitting here.
"I always sit here. I don't like people," JooHyun told Namjoon, picking up an apple and biting into it. "This school is the stereotypical high school. Full of jerks, nerds, dumbasses, weirdos, the pretty girls, popular guys, jocks... you get what I mean?"
Namjoon looked around, agreeing with her statement. She was right. "Yeah, I understand. I thought you were the student council, though?"
JooHyun scoffed, "My parents made me be a student council. They thought I'd be the perfect one. They weren't necessarily wrong, I mean, I've been the student council ever since I joined this shitty school. Just because I'm the student council, doesn't really mean that I enjoy helping people and... Socializing."
JooHyun had made a gagging sound when saying the word socializing, and I laughed at her. She smiled, and I realized how beautiful she really was when she did so. "Hey, I have one more question."
