Jungkook's POV
*DING DING*
The bell rang, indicating the end of school. I leaned back on my chair and stretched my arms, watching everyone around me in my class pack their stuff. I put my textbook and folder as well as my pencil case in my bag and got up.
'Well, see you tomorrow!' Namjoon jokingly punches my arm softly. He was the only one from Bangtan in this final class.
I waved back at him, 'Bye~'
I left the classroom and walked out of school.
~
'Hey mum~' I spoke into the phone as I waited at the bus stop, clutching my bag over my shoulders.
I heard my mother's sweet calming voice through the other line, 'Hi sweetie. Why are you calling? Did something happen? Has school finished?'
I chuckled at her overprotective side, 'No Mum, I'm alright. I just called to say I'm going to the library for a few minutes before coming home.'
'Oh alright darling. Stay safe~' I heard her hung up and I put my phone back in my jean back pocket.
I sighed and waited for the bus to arrive. The library wasn't that far from home so I could just walk back. I looked around at my surroundings. For a long time, I haven't been able to just sit back for a moment and admire the city of Seoul. I was born in Busan however my family and I decided to move to Seoul. I leaned back against the bus stop stand.
The gold and red leaves of trees gracefully fell to the floor, the wind making them dance the most intricate dances. The sky was painted in a clear blue colour, the puffy candyfloss like clouds flowing in one direction.
I breathed in the fresh air, feeling more relaxed outside; It was nice to just observe the view.
The bus suddenly came so I stood up, brushing the dust of my jeans and got on the bus.
~
'Hmmm... let's see~' I said unconsciously out loud.
'Shhhh!'
The librarian silenced me and I bowed as an apology as I sat down in front of a computer. I decided not only to get a book but to also look up about the mental institute that was apparently an option as a part-time job for me. I logged on to my profile and immediately looked up the mental institutes.
'Gangnam Mental Institute'
Those who supported the creation of the first early-eighteenth-century public and private hospitals recognised that one important mission would be the care and treatment of those with severe symptoms of mental illnesses. Like most physically sick men and women, such individuals remained with their families and received treatment in their homes. Their communities showed significant tolerance for what they saw as strange thoughts and behaviours. However, we believe we can help these helpless people in this mental hospital.
The moral treatment of the insane was built on the assumption that those suffering from mental illness could find their way to recovery and an eventual cure if treated kindly and in ways that appealed to the parts of their minds that remained rational. It repudiated the use of harsh restraints and long periods of isolation that had been used to manage the most destructive behaviours of mentally ill individuals.
