1D!News: moments from Zayn, Liam and nialls radio interview.
"I think once I started seeing Harry again and talking to the boys - Liam and Niall. It made me realise how much I missed being around their energy, when they started telling me plans of getting back together they asked if I wanted to join, by then we had sorted out all our past issues and I thought why not?" Zayn Malik on why he decided to join one direction again
"Yeah in the past I did hate the music we made and the management there was, but we've all changed and grown into what music we wish to make. This one direction was completely new even though it was the same members. We aren't held back anymore" Zayn Malik on his past accusations about the band
"It's honestly great to be back, especially with Zayn. This was the reunion we hoped to get. We are honestly like brothers minus Harry and Zayn who are definitely closer than that" Liam commented
"We did wonder at first if this could actually be possible, we didn't have a massive amount of time to plan when we were on solo tours. This reunion has been a long time in the making. Not only that we knew our solo stuff was all different so we didn't know if we could do it. But then we got in the studio and wrote 'take me back" in less than an hour and from there we knew it was going to work" Niall commented on how it was to mix their styles
" to be honest, we can't really comment when it comes to anything that happened with Harry and Louis, it's really not my place to say. but we know so many fans were confused and upset and were working on it" is al Zayn says once asked about Larry
"We are really good, me and Harry are going strong and even though we had a few bumps in the road it's just made us stronger. I love that goof with all my heart" Zayn says to the interview in reference to Harry. Once again confirming their relationship.
" yes this was in the works for a long time, I remember being in the studio way before me and Harry made up and posting about it. Everyone assumed it was solo stuff but really me and Liam were going over some tunes and made a song just for old times sake ... let's just say that song isn't on the album but might be performed live depending if we feel like it" zayn Malik on starting to write songs
"This album like we said before is about us, the past/ future and our fans. It's a mixed range and we all had input. The first song "take me back" is pretty much about one direction and the fans, how we wished we could go back to when we first started with all the support and love and how easy things were before complications got in the way. We did that song together and all put the lyrics in. The way we sing it is unique and mixes our styles very well I think" Niall tells us about how they wrote the songs on their newest album 'the five of us'
