**Cecelia's P.O.V.**
Have you ever wanted someone so much that it hurts?
I have. But do you know what hurts more? When you feel like you've finally gotten that someone, only to have them rip your heart out and leave you.
It hurts even more when that someone is your brother's best friend.
The one you grew up with, who always teased you, who made your life a living hell as a child but still cared about you, who you eventually came to love as more than just a friend.
The one who threatened away all the boys that were interested in you and beat up the boy who took your first kiss as part of a bet with his friends.
The one who, on your eighteenth birthday, took your virginity and left you before you woke up leaving behind nothing but a note.
A note you can't ever forget.
Last night shouldn't have happened, sorry.
Those words haunted me for weeks, even after he left for college. I couldn't think straight. He was all I thought about.
I hated it that I couldn't stop thinking about him, when deep down inside I knew he probably didn't think about me once.
That someone was Drake Reynolds.
The guy most girls fawned over, along with my brother at school. The guy you wanted to be with. Parents loved him, girls wanted him, and guys wanted to be him.
I had been crushing on him since I was in eighth grade. My brother and him were in the grade above me, freshmen at the local high school.
My best friends Kenzie and Ethan told me countless number of times that I shouldn't be crushing on him, but I never listened.
I wish I had.
I tried everything to get him to notice me, but he wouldn't even glance my way when he came over to hang out with my brother.
Drake and I were actually pretty close, but he just saw me as nothing more than a little sister.
I thought I would be family zoned for the rest of my life. But then freshmen year came. Over the summer puberty kicked in, giving me a great body.
All of a sudden guys started to pay more attention to me, but I only wanted attention from one guy. And unfortunately he was too busy trying to get those other guys to stop noticing me, instead of noticing me himself.
He would get me to wear the most hideous things, claiming it would 'stop guys from checking me out'. He just couldn't see that I wanted him to notice me!
I would shamelessly try to flirt with him, only for him to laugh it off as a joke. He was way too oblivious. I tried everything, but nothing seemed to work.
Then on my eighteenth birthday, I had a huge party. Being that Drake was my brother's best friend he was, of course, invited to the party.
I was just planning on finally telling him that I liked him. Since I was eighteen I figured he wouldn't see me as a kid anymore.
So after the party was over and everyone went home, I managed to get him alone upstairs so I could tell him.
"I like you," I blurted out not wanting to wait any longer.
