Today I see life through a lavender colored lens
Surrounded by quiet friends blowing in the wind
The ground and I are one with you,
I won't float away this time.
Your melody is my waking lullaby,
Keeping me alive, breath by breath,
Singing so soft, you brought me back down
I can't find anything like that sound.
A soul warming rasp.
Your closeness brings me wondrous pain,
Pieces of my heart fall together as one
So this is what living feels like.
Light my eyes with delight.
I've never seen something so broken
So worn and torn by the world and still
You fill my darkest caverns
With your lavender illumination
Can this dream, not be a dream.
