Kevin's POV
Responsibility.
"Come on!!! You're all warriors!! Not pussies!!." I shouted with an eyeroll as they groaned with frustration.
It was already afternoon and by afternoon I mean it was pack training time. The warriors were already spend due to running around and doing push ups. We've been training for about five hours and I bet they wanted to eat.
"Go easy on them." I heared a deep chuckle and immediately knew that I my dad was behind me "Go for a walk with me."
"Ok everyone! Go rest...tomorrow we will continue.'' I said before turning around to look at my father who wore a smirk that was filled with pride. I nodded indicating that we could take our walk.
As we left dad started frowning slowly and noticeable.
"Your birthday is tomorrow." Dad stated the obvious fact "I want you to know that if your mates are special. They are our treasure and strength through tough times."
I nodded "I know that father. Am willing to treat her with great affection."
"I raised you well." He said "I get to look at you and see a younger version of myself."
"Eer what if it isn't a she?" I dared to ask. This pack denied gays like nobody's business. In all honesty I felt like a robot in here.
My father and I barely bond unless it has to do with pack work. Other than that... we don't talk at all. I did everything he told me to.
His eyes turned blank at my question before he sighed.
"Still unacceptable. If your mate becomes a male then he'll be kept a secret. You don't even think about mating them." He said strongly before he turned into his wolf form and disappeared.
I just frowned slowly before leaving for my apartment in the pack house making sure I nodded at anyone who greeted me on their way.
Once I was safely in my room i took a shower then dressed into my sweatpants before doing the pack paper work.
My dad was just so understandable at times.
I can only hope I could manage the responsibilities. Like every child out there I wanted to please him, I only stopped working when my phone rang and it turned out to be my beta friend....Calvin Morris.
"Dude." He said "It's dinner time and your dad won't let us eat without you."
"Shit I will be there in 5." I said before dropping the call and stretching then I put on my t shirt and joined the crowd.
