Perfect Strangers { sirius black}

Chapter 5

      I woke up and saw that someone had drawn the curtains of my bed. Must have been eva . I got up and looked at the time it was 6:30 in the morning. Class starts by 7:30 . I had exactly one hour to take a bath and  have breakfast. Better start hurrying. I looked at my time table and I had history, divinition and potions . This was going to be a long day. 

      I hurried out of the dormitory and went straight towards the bathroom. I took a long bath and wore the school uniform. I hurried back to the tower. The eagle knocker asked yet another riddle to me. I answered it and went inside to find that eva was not yet awake. Although Dani was awake. I greeted her a good morning . She smiled and left. I marched towards Eva 's bed drawed the curtains open and looked at her . She was sleeping peacefully . I felt a little guilty but I had to wake her up. 

"Eva get up we need to go and have breakfast and 'You' need to take a bath first" I said . She groaned but then reluctantly got up . I went towards her trunk and took out her uniform. I gave it to her and she said"Thank you for waking me up. I overslept today.'

    " Do you need some help " I asked her. She shaked her head  and left . I turned towards my trunk and removed the books that were needed for today. I looked outside the window . It was drizzling outside since it was September. 

After a few minutes Dani came inside the room she looked at me and said"Let's go and grab some breakfast." I nodded my head she grabbed her books and indicated me to follow her. We left the dormitory and started climbing down the stairs towards the common room .  As we reached the door of the common room  I asked Dani " Who is that ?" I pointed towards the marble statue.

      "That's Rowena Ravenclaw she's the founder of the house" she said proudly. I nodded and followed her out the the tower. She kept talking about how she handled the first years yesterday. She wasn't like eva she spoke logically . I guess that's why she was the perfect . She told me she was a half- blood . I didn't tell her that I was a half-blood as well but I just nodded instead. 

   Soon  we reached the Great Hall  and we sat in the Ravenclaw table. She took a seat and I sat opposite to her. Just like yesterday my plate was filled with food . I started eating silently. Dani on the other hand was making small talk with everyone. Eva joined us after a while . Dani and Eva were discussing about some boys. Honestly I don't have any interests in boys . I zoned myself and I was thinking about the History class. I needed to talk to lily as well.

     "You don't talk much , do you?" eva asked me with curiosity in her eyes. I looked at Eva and Dani and then realised that the question was directed to me. I thought about how I should answer her.

    "Well the thing is, I am not a morning person and I am really very hungry. " I  answered .

            Eva   and Dani nodded their heads. I  continued eating. 

      Soon Dani and Eva were done eating. We headed towards the History class. We were not early but we weren't that late either. I took a seat in the middle. I hated sitting in the front as I had feeling people were constantly staring at my back. I disliked backbenchers. So sitting in the middle was best for me.

        Eva sat besides me . Soon the whole class was filled and soon a man with grey hair entered the classroom. "That's Professor Binns" Eva whispered to me. 

     For the first 45 minutes he spoke about how important this year is and everyone must take the O.W.L's seriously. He had wheezy and drowning voice . He had not even started the lesson and here I was feeling sleepy. 

       For the next hour he lectured us about Giant wars without pausing. I took notes once in a while .  I looked next to me and saw that eva was doodling on her paper. I chuckled softly and continued writing my notes. Soon the class came to an end and Professor Binns left the class. Every one started exiting as well . I left the class with Eva and dani . 

 " What class do you have now?" I asked them .

 They looked at me with a confused look. "We don't have any class right now . After break we have divinition " Dani said.

    I was shocked. I looked at Dani then at Eva  . I opened my diary and showed them my time table. They were shocked as well. "Alexa you have Potions with Gryffindor and slytherins " dani said.

   "But how can that be we  have potions with the hufflepuff's " eva said. 

  "Eva we don't have place for a new student " dani replied. 

I was terrified . This was my first class without the girls. They looked at me sympathetically. 

  Dani tried to cheer me up and said "Hey it's not that bad . You will be fine." I nodded and took a deep breath.

 "Where is the Potions class? " I asked them . 

"We"ll take you there " Eva said.

    She leaded the way. Dani was walking beside me she told me that Professor Slughorn taught  potions. He was a good guy. I nodded my head . Soon we were outside the classroom.

      They both wished me luck  and started walking away. I was standing at the doorway of the classroom. I took a deep breath and told myself "Relax Alexa it's just potions, how hard can it be?"
