Sometimes words aren't enough
-Lemony snicket
Ayesha's pov.
With Monday comes work and stress. Not that I am complain about it because work stress always makes me forget about the events of my life, hence giving me relief.
I frowned looking at the mess before me. I have been trying to look for a decent dress to wear as I would be working with Ahaan in his workplace from today for the next one month. The reason for my distress.
It's been a week since Ahaan called me up asking for a divorce and after that I haven't heard from him. Maybe he is having second thoughts because Rinoz has said yes to an alliance. Even I am having a little hope that maybe we can have a future if we try at least.
Shrugging off all the unwanted thoughts, I finally decided to wear a peach top with white palazzo pants. I keptt my hair open and applied a little bit of makeup to look presentable.
Satisfied with myself, I picked up my mobile from my side table and placed it in the handbag. Closing the door of my room I walked downstairs to be greeted by my family on the breakfast table in the front yard or more like a garden. It was a tradition for us to have our breakfast in the small table in the garden, talk about our plans for the day and then retire to our respective works.
I walked to my car, after saying my salaam to my parents and brother, starting it to life and riding off to my destination.
I reached the office building on time and went towards the receptionist.
"Yes, how may I help you?" The receptionist asked.
"Hey. I am Ayesha Khan. I am supposed to work here for this month on a project. Can you guide me to Ahaan Ahmed's cabin?" I said.
"Sure ma'am. Go straight and on your left you'll find the lift. Ahaan sir's cabin is on 25th floor."
"Thank you" I smiled.
