03*That was a practice run*

I wake up in the nurse's office with Ayako and Archer next to me, I got a headache as soon as I started to wake up and sit up straight, "aw that was a beating and a half" as I hold the sides of my head with both of my hands "rise and shine'' Sleeping beauty" Archer said as he looks at me ".

"Good you are finally awake I was getting worried that I am going to go and tell the nurse" she rushes straight for the door but as soon as Ayako was about to leave the room Mirajane and Keomi come in and they look relieved, but then again, how long have they known me for.

I would have liked to think that they were worried about me. "Well nice to see you're awake and had enough of your beauty sleep" said Keomi as they both came in and let Ayako pass.

"Can everyone just stop referencing sleeping beauty,Anyways, why are you guys here" I said with a pained and confused face.

" To check up on you, why else" she says with a smile, "I appreciate it thank you Ayako" , as I smiled back at her .

"I assume you already know who did this and you know what I'm going to say right Archer" .

"Yeah yeah don't worry I wont do anything to them," he says as he looks to the wall and puts his hand at the back of his head and leans back on a chair he was sitting on.

Mirajane looked confused, "why won't you let him go if he wants to and why won't you go after what they did", everyone looked at her then me, I smiled slightly and said " the answer is simple I don't want him to go finishing a fight that is already finished, as for why I won't do anything well I never go picking a fight for myself.

"I can fight for someone else sure but if it's for me I choose not to"

Archer smiled and said "still got that attitude of trying to look cool huh, well I think that is pretty noble of you" just then the nurse and Ayako came into the room.

She checked that I was okay and they told me I slept through the entire day which was both nice and a pain in the butt since I had to go home and study what they took in class already, so I went back to class to grab my stuff that no one politely took for me while I was beat up.

Everyone had either left or told me they were leaving. I told them not to wait for me, I grabbed my things at the class and started going downstairs. I saw Mirajane walking to exit the gates, standing beside the school gate were three other older guys all leaning on a wall talking as soo as they saw her .

I ran as fast as I could because I had a bad hunch about them. It didn't take a long time for me to get there surprisingly since I was still wrapped in bandages.

they were blocking off the school gate, Mirajane was standing there talking to them though I didn't hear what they were saying.

I got there and one of them had a knife in his hand and was talking towards her I ran as Fast as I could and shouted "NOOO STOOOOP"

I arrived and stood in front of her with my hands held up to the sides blocking their path, I ran out of breath can barely lift my head up and stand without shaking, while my head is just pulsing with pain as the rest of my body feels like a million basketballs are being thrown at it at the same time.

I mustered all my strength and said "if you want to get to her you have to go through me" and looked as serious as I could make myself since I knew a single punch would drop me to the ground, but I had to do something I couldn't just let them hurt Mirajane.

She looked at me from behind and said "why are you doing this it's not like you even know me I am truly grateful for it, but I don't want anyone to get hurt because of me", I laughed and said " that is true that I know nothing about you miss ray, but I do know one thing I can't let someone get harmed before my eyes , while I sit around and do nothing about it that is not the kind of guy I am"
