Chapter 2: Entrance

Takia was darting around his room, the sun just about ready to invade his bedroom. He crawled under his bed, shooting glances all around the darkened floor. His mind raced as he checked his closet one final time, 'just oh where it could be.' He ran out of his room to find his father sitting on the couch with a cup of coffee in his hands, a newspaper splayed out on the table. Takia frantically ran towards where the basement door would be, tripping as he slid on the polished wood floor, ink protruding from where his face would have slammed into moments before. His father stared at the boys almost levitating frontal half.

"Are you looking for something?" His father asked.

"Do you have any idea where my gym clothes are?" Takia responded, his father merely pointed at the basement door before taking another sip of his coffee.

"Your mother put it in the wash before she left." He stated, Takia nodded as he slowly made his way down the stairs towards the, surprisingly, lit basement. The washer was done when he had made it down the stairs where he immediately placed the soaking clothes into the dryer. He sighed when he made his way back up stairs and flopped onto the couch, his father getting up to take out some cereal from the cabinet, meticulously pouring a bowl for both of them.

Takia ate his food without hesitation when it was set in front of him, his father placing down his own. Takia was about half way done when the dryer started to beep, annoyingly. Takia was about to get up when just as his father was already up and out of his position, heading down to the basement and coming back a second later with the clothes neatly folded. He gently placed the gym clothes right next to Takia, giving it a light pat on the top. He slowly walked back to his spot on the couch and continued eating. They both quietly finished their breakfasts, not uttering a single word to each other while doing so. Takia put his bowl down first, with his father finishing soon after.

"So how about you telling me why you signed up into UA?" His father asked, rather bluntly, just as Takia had begun to pick up his gym clothes.

"It was something that interested me, thought that I could have myself be a proper hero to people." Takia said, almost mimicking his father.

"Well, me and mom will always support your endeavors, no matter what."

Takia nodded before swiftly picking up the warm gym clothes, heading to the bathroom to take a shower and get changed. He came out with his hair all cluttered about in places, others had almost formed visible knots on his head. His father chuckled slightly when Takia came out of his room in this state. The boy groaned at his father's persistent chortles. Takia quickly waved at his father before running out the front door, Axel waiting for him by the block.

"So you waited for me, eh?" Takia said as he reached Axel.

The other boy merely nodded his head. "Gotta make sure you get there on time, I was worried you wouldn't leave."

Takia stuck his tongue out to the other boy, rather playfully, before making their way back to the crossing. The sign had turned a bright red when they arrived at the light. Axel merely sighed when he checked his watch, the clock read 9:03 am exactly, as the light had turned to a lime green color, the two proceeding to make their way to the other block. Axel motioned for Takia to go to the other side of him, Takia followed those instructions, and slowly made his way to the boys right side just as a bike sped past him. The biker had let out a brief "sorry!" which faded quickly, as he continued to speed off towards his destination. Takia slowly tapped Axel on the shoulder before he made his way back to his previous spot.
