Shino's Kiss

Shino closes his eyes to never wake from this dream.

You embrace him tighter and bury your nose into his neck. The fur soft and sleek. He lets out a soft, almost unhearable whimper.

"I've fallen for you." You say muffled in his fur.

"Why, why a damaged dog like me. How could you fall in....lo..." Shino felt his face grow red as he pulled away from you.

Your hands still hold on to his muscular shoulders.

"Because, you are an amazing dog." You say with a smile. "I just...." You struggle to make your feelings turn into words. You look in Shino's eyes and then you close yours and sigh.

"Master...." Shino lets the word escape from his mouth. You cup his face and place your lips on his. At first Shino grows really red and tries to pull away but, you let go of his face and wrap your arms around him.

Shino understands what you're doing and falls into the kiss. Your hand grabbing his chest fur. You pull away and smile at him. Shino is still glowing red but, returns your smile.

"I love you." You say.

"I.....I'm not ready to say that yet..." Shino puts two of his fingers together and looks down. "I'm sorry that I can't return the words of affection...."

You laugh at his sincerity.

"What? Why are you laughing?" His expression changed to a glare.

"You're just so cute when you say stuff like that." You laugh.

"I..." Shino looks down avoiding your gaze.

"It's fine if you can't say it back. You've been through a lot and we can go slow." You smile at him. Shino looks up at you.

"Forgive me, Master." Shino said.

"Wha...." You're cut off by Shino placing his lips on yours. You're caught off guard and the both of you fall into the grass. Not caring about the pain in your arm. You still embrace Shino's kiss.

"Happy Valentine's Day." Shino says as he breaks away from you.

"Happy Valentine's Day." You say. As the sun goes down you and the Canis therian look up at the night sky full of stars.
