NO ONES POV
it was 6:00 in the evening and you were expecting to be invited to dinner. you didn't want to get out of the soft bed and let go of your book just yet. besides, making it obvious that you were feeling too excited to see someone at dinner and get your revenge on him just seemed a bit weird. people would think you're insane! interested in the God of Mischief? HAH!
just as you were dozing off, you were woken up by a knock at the door.
"your highness?" it was one of the palace guards.
"oh yes, come in."
"the Majesties are inviting you to have dinner with them this evening. it will be so for all other evenings during your stay here, as i was told." he said sternly, yet polite.
when you were getting out of your bed, two familiar faces came busting into your room.
"good evening, darling! aren't you hungry? the Majesties are waiting." your father boomed.
"i was just about to go. why don't we go there together?" you asked smiling at them.
"sounds splendid, dear.", your mother chimed in.
you were never this close to your parents when you were younger. they never really paid much attention to you as they did now. you didn't know what made them act this way, but you were grateful.
on your way to the dining hall, you felt nervous.
it's just a regular dinner feast. everything's going to be fine... but why do feel so uneasy?
as soon as you got there, staring at the big golden doors in front of you, your heart beat faster as the two big doors swung open from the inside.
your parents were the first to enter and you followed behind.
your mind wasn't in the state of getting revenge on Loki anymore. you were distracted , dazed and flustered at how beautiful the dining hall looked.
it was bigger than you imagined. the walls shimmered all around reflected by the bright moonlight outside. the smell of food dined on the long, big yellow table. you were amazed.
"your highness?" a voice snapped you out from your thoughts.
"Thor! i was just...uh...hahah...pardon me," you excused. you were just too distracted to even say anything.
"oh no...that's totally fine. come sit," he said as he pulled a chair out for you.
you smiled at him and said, "thank you."
Thor got around and sat in front of you beside Frigga who was staring at you from the moment you got here, you've just realized. Odin sat beside her, you mother and father on your left.
But there was something missing. something felt empty.
your eyes wandered the dining hall, searching for someone.
where's Loki?
your eyes landed on Frigga who happened to hear what you were thinking and looked at you. you smiled at her, and of course she smiled back.
After the amazing feast, your mind was distracted, again. but this time, it was not because of the beautiful shimmering, golden walls.
moments later, your parents were chatting with Odin and Frigga on their way out of the hall. behind, you walked with Thor.
