"Shit...."

"I knew your name sounded familiar," I said as Mr.Garcia closed the door behind him.

"Mrs. Martinez, come sit down with me," he says walking past me to his seat, chuckling as he gestures for me to follow behind him.

We sit in silence as he digs through folders. After a while, he stops at one and pulls it out, placing it on the edge of his desk as he puts all the other files back neatly into one of his drawers. I decide to just let him say the first word, mainly because I don't feel to comfortable due to how our first encounter went.

I shifted back and forth in my seat until Mr.Garcia spoke up, "You're only 21?" He asks looking into the file.

"Oh uh...yes I skipped a grade, which caused me to graduate earlier. I've actually only been working with Alvin for a little over six months." He continues to flip through the pages of the booklet, probably thinking of certain questions to ask. While I definitely have one major question that I will be asking as soon as I find the right time to.

"Do you plan on being a secretary in the future?"

"If I'm being honest, then no, I do not plan on this being my direct career path but for now it's my main goal."

"What are your plans for the future then?" He asks placing his arms into a fold while leaning on his desk.

"I plan on going back to college once I save up enough money, so I can finish the three years of law school that I still have yet to complete." Once I was done he put all the papers he had taken out of the folder, neatly back into the pockets.

"Are we done here?" I ask as he looks back up to me and shakes his head.

"No Mrs.Martinez, I just don't have any more questions to ask you, but I would like if you asked me a few questions yourself since you look like you've had something on your mind from the very moment I walked in. " He answers, with a light smile planted on his face. I can't help but stare at his straight pearly whites that match so effortlessly with his soft caramel complexion. I hate to say it but now I remember how I was so easily attracted to him, he is beyond beautiful, this man could run me over with a car and I'd thank him.

"Do you remember me?" I faintly ask, gaining his full attention, It's not the worst question to be asking. I mean we were both drunk, he could've completely forgot about what I look like and what my name is.

"You're asking if I remember you from the club last night? I don't have one night stands often but when I do I most certainly remember who I have them with," he responds, getting out of his chair and waking over to me. "And I most certainly would never forget a pretty face such as yourself," he added, placing a few of his fingers underneath my chin, lifting my head up slightly so that our eyes can meet.

"How did I end up spending all night with you, to find out the next morning that I'm your new assistant, might I add; personal assistant?"

"Maybe it's just a pure coincidence."

"I don't believe that this can just be a coincidence," I reply skeptically, as we lose contact and I gain a sign from Alejandro as he makes his way across the room.

"I'll be honest with you, when I first saw your file the only things I looked at were your working skills and your name. When we met at the bar I thought it was honestly just a coincidence that your name sounded familiar and it wasn't until this morning that I realized you two are the same person. If it weirds you out you don't have to take up the offer, I can always find another assistant."

"Can you give me some time to think about it?"

"I'll give you until tomorrow by midnight, if I don't hear from you by then, I'll know your answer," he responds nonchalantly, looking out into the city with his tall frame standing only a few feet away from the large tinted window. I stare looking past him for a few moments until a voice from the call box, speaks out. Moments later someone bursts' through the door.

It's an older man that looks to be in his early-mid 50s, he seems to be irritated but has yet to notice me. I notice that he has quite of a resemblance to Alejandro.

"We'll finish our conversation tomorrow, don't forget about what I told you," Alejandro instructs as he leads me out into the hallway.

"Wait, but I don't have your num-" before I am able to finish, the door is slammed quickly in front of my face and I'm left alone in the silence.

Hours have gone by and I am currently sat consuming iced coffee and a strawberry frosted doughnut inside my local Café. I had texted Brianna asking to meet up here after she's finished with school, so she should be arriving any minute now.

Soon enough, Brianna and her boyfriend Adrian, arrive to the doughnut shop and I am greeted with heartwarming smiles as they make their way through the door, Adrian held the door open for Bree as she walked in. I can see Brianna whisper something into Adrian's ear and he makes his way to the register soon after.

"Hey, what'd you get?" Brianna ask, while taking a seat across from me and opening up the 12 dozen box of doughnuts that's already half empty, "did you eat these all by yourself?"

"Yea I've been here for a while." I respond with a slight giggle.

"Did you get let off early from work? You're usually not home until five," she questions, facing me as she takes a bite out of a jelly filled doughnut, accidentally getting some on the corner of her mouth.

"Kinda, but that's a story for another day, all you need to know is that I got a new job offer."

"Where at? And what kind of job is it?" She asks, sounding a bit skeptical.

"It's the same kind of job just at a different company and with different people. I'm still an assistant, they'll just be paying more then what I'm used to."

"Wait but that's amazing, are you gonna take the offer?"

"Maybe," I reply, taking a sip from my iced latte.

"I don't even know if I should take the opportunity, he was nice at first but towards the end of our meeting he was being a dick, he even slammed the door in my face." I explain to Zoe and Cassie while we converse on FaceTime.

"Did you say anything to make him start to act this way towards you?" Zoe asks, changing out of her work attire.

"I don't think so, but an older man did interrupt us."

"When do you have to call him by?" Cassie questions.

"Anytime before Midnight, I mean the job does pay a lot more then the one I have now, but it's going to be so awkward. How am I supposed to just casually work with the man I've seen naked?" I address as other ends stay quiet.

"Oh so you have to call him soon then," Cassie announces, tempting me to look at the clock placed on my nightstand, that now reads 8:46 p.m.

"I guess so, anyway I'm gonna go, I'll let you guys know my decision by tomorrow morning."

"Bye Serena," they say in sync as the line disconnects shortly after.

I lay in bed for the next ten minutes as I finally pick up my phone to call Mr. Garcia. He sent a text earlier to make sure that I had gotten his phone number. I'm guessing he got mine from the work file he has of me.

The call rings for a second or two before I can hear a deep voice speak on the other end, "Hello," I announce.

"Mrs. Martinez, have you made your decision yet?"

"Yes, I have decided that I will be taking you up the offer."
