"Okay, Mom is it on?" I yelled running down the wooden steps to the kitchen.

"Yeah it's on, after AFV in five!" She yelled back in response.

"AH! I'M GONNA MISS IT!! DID YOU GET THE FOOD??" I yelled louder realizing my fate. Please say yes, say yes! Or else I'll miss it! I hear her mutter a curse word.

"Shit. NO I FORGOT!" I flew around the kitchen, grabbing plates, bowls, and jars of candy. They were a necessity if you ask me. Can't watch Mean Girls without having food

"How do you forget to get food?" I yell.

Anymore yelling I might lose my voice. I somehow manage to get to the TV room without dropping anything, placing the items on the low coffee table and taking the Queen Chair. Mom was seated next to me. I reach for the bowl with assorted candy, picking through it to get to the Swedish fish. My favorite candy since I was born.

The show begins just as I look back up at the new Curve TV Mom had got as an early Christmas gift. She's been trying to make it up to me ever since Dad died. As if she had any control over it.

"Ooh new episode!" I squeal. I flinch as my brother walks in the room
"Get. Out. Now." I turn around, glaring at him. He could be a sour noodle sometimes.

"Ewe, she's so gross!"

"Benjamin Sour-Noodle! Leave me alone!" I yell at him, but it comes out as a weak whisper.

"Awe, okay." He pouts then steals the Swedish fish in my hand.

"HEY!" I yell as I spring from The Queen, banging my knee on the coffee table in the process. He bursts out laughing and I take this as my chance. I run over to him and jump on his back causing him to yelp before face planting the deep blue rug. I do a tuck roll off him and scramble back in my chair acting all innocent. I was lucky that was all on a commercial cause my show had begun!
