Chapter 4- Revival Project

Haruna got out of her apartment with Yuki in the early morning. They walked pass the market and  someone hailed from behind.

"Onee-chan!"

It was Temari all along with her two brothers who clung on their uncle.

Yashamaru smiled towards her. Her heart throbbed as she saw him playing around with his nephews. Nothing is cuter than a guy who looks so fatherly -to her.

Apparently Yashamaru treated them their favorite snacks just like what she told him to. Temari had herself a toasted sweet corn-anything as long as vegetable she prefers. Kankuro had is meat kebab and little Gaara was busy savoring his favorite, salted gizzard. He likes them that much.

"Oishii..." he uttered softly as he had his last bite. His eyes sparkled.

"Did you kids have fun?" she said and they nodded in unison. They look awfully happy that morning.

"Then let's get you guys' home..." Yashamaru said as he patted Gaara's head. They look at him with puppy eyes, begging him to take them walk around village a little longer. Unfortunately, each of them couldn't do to pilling works. Little Gaara pulled Haruna's sleeve softly. She turned to him, on her knees.

"I'm sorry Gaara-chan, we'll do it next time..." she said when she poked her index finger on his forehead. He blushed.

"Then...piggy-back...?" he uttered.

"You want a piggy back?" she asked. Gaara nodded softly.

He wiped his hands on his cloth and some stain he had on his face. He got on to her back and held her shoulder tight.

"You spoil him too much, Haruna-chan..." Yashamaru said with Temari in his other hand.

"Hn...gaara-chan is cuter than you that's why..." she teased.

On their way to the kids' house, they kept asking those two lots of question but the question that triggered her was from Temari when she suddenly mentioned about the ring she had on. Then kankuro mentioned Yashamaru's ring that matched hers.

"Ehhhhh...you two already have matching rings?! I'm way far behind..." Yuki suddenly intercepted after a long time silence.

"Onee-chan loves uncle?" Temari questioned her. She blushed when she mentioned it that way.

She nodded anyway...Yashamaru smiled happily when he saw her nodding her head.

"Love?" Gaara uttered.

"Hmm...love is a feeling that desires to serve a precious person who is close to oneself." Yashamaru explained. Somehow the kids understood his saying or maybe they didn't.

"Then...does that mean that we love onee-chan too?" Temari wondered.

"You do?" Haruna asked her back with a little chuckle. Temari nodded and held onto her sleeves with her other hand.

"But...I love her the most." Yashamaru claimed as he looked at her. She was more embarrassed that she had earlier.

That afternoon both Haruna and Yashamaru split up to begin the recruiting for the Revival Project. They gather most of the medical ninja from each rank. Those who agree to participate was obligated to sign up some documents; consist of terms and conditions required.

I (name) agree to the terms and condition stated in this document. It is in my knowing that if I ever break the condition stated I shall be terminated from the village.

Terms and condition;

1. Anything regarding the project must not yet mention to the public before it success.

2. If the project failed, it shall not be told or announce to the public

Out of all 15 participants-young and old- will be gathered at the Sunagakure research facility in the next night.

They finally meet each other after a wholesome of interview. The participant was obligated to pass through a basic medical check-up and experience reporting.

"I miss you..." Yashamaru giggled when he had her shoulder around his arm.

"You're overdoing it, Yasha-kun..." she laughed.

"How's your family doing now...I heard that you already got your mail from them?"

"Yeah I did" she said in a lively way. He noticed that she seemed so happy whenever she told him about her family. She told him that her brothers did send her some letters. Sasuke's handwriting has gotten better than before. And Itachi recently had his schedule packed due to his incoming mission. He gave her some books as a present for her birthday. He never had sent books that bored her. He's her life savior from boredom. Then she also mentioned about Sasuke who performed well at the Konoha academy. He became the best amongst kids his age.

"Sasuke is Gaara's age?" Yashamaru asked.

She nodded.

"You're kind Haruna even though you're not blood-related..." he said casually.

"You think so, Yasha-kun?" she wondered if he was sincere about it.

"Hn...you're my angel, Haruna..." he said.
