Danny Phantom: The Ghost Hero

Chapter 3

Flashing through the air at a velocity that exceeded 100 mph, Danny followed the trail of smoke and screams to see how he could be of assistance.

Although he knew there were laws about being a hero Danny knew he couldn't stop himself from helping even if he wanted to. So to at least hide his identity, for now, Danny threw up his hood to avoid his face being seen and prepared to help.

Standing outside a demolished bank there was a group of thugs that seemed to be filing bags of money into an armored vehicle. There are five of them and they each seemed to have a different mutation. There was a bull-man, a thug with blue skin, a guy with a metal mohawk, a woman with a scorpion tail, and a man that seemed to be made entirely of rocks.

There were already some police surrounding them but they had to hang back as the thugs had a hostage. It was a stalemate since the thugs were preparing their escape route while using the hostage as a distraction.

"I swear if one person gets too close. I'll blow this bitches brains out!" A humanoid bull yelled as he held a gun to the terrified woman's head.

"Calm down. We only want for the hostage to be set free," A police officer responded calmly trying to save the hostage first.

"No way in hell! You better let us through or I swear I'll kill her," The bull-man yelled.

Already understanding what was happening Danny reacted immediately by turning invisible and quickly flew behind the man-bull. Making sure that he was still invisible, Danny turned intangible and flew straight into the thug's body.

"Hurry up already! We need-," The bull-man yelled at his men but was interrupted as Danny overshadowed him.

"Osuushi! Come on, we're loaded up! Take the girl as leverage," The scorpion woman yelled at the man that Danny was currently overshadowing as she got into the driver seat of the car.

"Got it," The bull-man responded, but his eyes were glowing green and his voice was different. All the obvious signs that Danny was in complete control of his actions.

Slowly walking towards the armored car with the hostage, Danny suddenly leaned forward and quietly whispered into the woman's ear.

"I'm going to let you go on three. I want you to run as fast as you can to the police and don't look back. If you understand, nod your head," Danny said to the hostage through the overshadowed thug.

The hostage was already terrified and confused by what was happening, but she still nodded her head as her hands trembled. She stood anxiously as she waited for her chance to escape.

"Ok. 1...2...3-Go!" Danny counted then suddenly pushed the hostage forward as she ran with all her might towards the police.

Both the police and the group of thugs were in shock as they watched the hostage run towards the police.

"What the hell-," The metal mohawk thug yelled at Danny, but was unprepared for him to suddenly attack.

Rushing forward, Danny tackled the mohawk thug to the floor and knocked him out with a strong blow to the head.

"I've always wanted to do this" The blue thug glared down at the bull-man, who was still being overshadowed.

Looking up, Danny could see that the blue-skinned thug was glaring down at Danny while having his hand extended as light gathered around it.

Already expecting some type of attack, Danny reacted immediately by leaping out of the thug's body, avoiding a fairly weak energy beam that shot from the blue-skinned thug. The beam knocked back the bull-man who was already delirious and confused by what was happening.
