Chapter 10

*Kayy's POV*

It's been about a week or so since I rejected Ross, and I'm really convinced that I moved on. Ross is now head over heels for me, but he wanted nothing to do with me earlier. His loss.

I needed time outside, so I rode my bike up to a nearby park. I had a small backpack that had a notebook, pens, pencils, my phone, and some money. I sat down on a bench and took out my notebook and pencils.

I sighed happily and mumbled to myself, "I'm finally happy."

"What was that?" A boy asked me.

"Oh? Uh, nothing." I said, surprised there was someone listening. I fumbled with my notebook and hid it so he wouldn't see the contents.

"I'm Luke," he said, extending his hand for me to shake it. We shook hands, which was quite awkward, and he smiled.

"I'm Kayy. Are you in a band or something?" I asked, judging by his converse, black skinny jeans, and a shirt that had the sleeves ripped off, showing his arm muscle.

"I actually am. I'm Luke Hemmings from 5 Seconds of Summer." He said, in his somewhat cute Australian accent.

"That's cool. Will you stay a bit?" I suddenly felt nervous, maybe because he was super cute.

He ran his fingers through his hair and nodded, taking a seat next to me.

"Do you draw?" He gestured to my notebook.

"Sometimes, but most of this is just notes and my feelings." I blushed.

Luke's phone began to ring. He turned it off without answering and looked back at me again.

"I used to have a boyfriend that was in a band. He's still in the band, but not my boyfriend." I said confidently, finally realizing it doesn't hurt to talk about Ross anymore.

"Aww, thats too bad. Are you upset?" He asked, a concerned look on his face.

"No, not really. I'm a lot better than I was in the beginning though." I laughed a little.

Luke smiled and said, "Oh, well that's good. Can I get your number?"

I nodded and we exchanged phones. I put my name in as "Kayy B)" because I'm just super cool, you know? We handed each other our phones back and I looked down at my worn out shoes.

"Hey, well, I gotta run. I'll catch you later?" I smiled and stood up.

I smiled in return and said, "Sure. Thanks for sticking around, Luke."

He walked away and I opened my book and began to draw what Luke reminded me of in color. I wonder if Ross would be upset if he found out about Luke..

A/N: Short chapter, I know. I added Luke Hemmings in this chapter because I thought it'd be a good plot twist AND Kayy has an interest in him. My apologies if you dislike Luke. Haha. Anyways, vote & comment please! Thanks for reading!
