" girl!...can you just chill for a moment there ?! " my bestie screamed at me from her Driving seat while I was laying lazily in the back telling her how much I hate my life and how exhausted it is, to be honest with you I'm being such Cause of headache to her
"Sarah you know that I have no one to talk to and In other words, you are my one & only friend so it's one of your responsibility is to hear me out " I spoke with an attitude while watching her in the mirror with a goofy smile
when her eyes meet mine in the reflection she smiles back shaking her head in a motherly way
" Okey you win smartass, but tell me if you don't stand your mother this much.....why don't you just move in with your father in LA? " she proposed
" oh! why I never thought of it before! " I said using a surprised/happy face " But then I remembered how much my dear father hates me and how he's happy with his other family " I faced her with a fake smile which despairs quickly
"I'm sorry...." Sarah whispered
" nevermind, we don't choose our parents, don't we? " I said it with a sarcastic laugh " I may dislike my father cause he left us when I most needed him but mom..." I sigh "she has always been there for me and I appreciate it, but what I don't understand is why she keeps treating like I'm her biggest mistake?...." I was stopped by the salty taste on my lips, I was crying
"maybe you can ask her?? and try to solve the matter I don't know.... as a normal civil conversation? maybe" she spoke as she was parking the car.
"Easy said than done" those words came out as a lost hope
"Come on! cheer up my friend we are having your birthday party later! for god sake!! Now All you need to do is to get your ass out of the car so we can choose your dress for tonight " she said With an enthusiastic tone
" Okey," I said smiling while opening the car door to get out
The weather outside was cold which made me hold my vest tightly around my body but I suddenly felt a warm touch on my shoulder
"come on" Sarah whispered softly, I nodded
"so.....who is picking you up later?" she asked but spoked quickly again when she saw my confused face " no, I mean like you know how careless I'm in my drunk state"
"well, in that case......" I said while looking for my phone in my back pocket
"DAMN!"
"what?"
"I may or may not forget my phone in your car " I spoke while cursing myself
" it's not a big deal, come on---"
"No no .. just give me your keys I will be quick" I cut her off
"Okay, if you say so " she said before throwing the keys to my direction
I said nothing and run to the car as fast as I can, but what caught my attention in my way there was a dark shadow running at the same speed as mine in the opposite side but the moment when he turned his head to my direction I felt a cold shiver through my body
it didn't last longer than 5 seconds and the shadow disappeared in the darkness of the night, I was scared.....
"but what if my mind is playing tricks on me? yeah it's just my imagination" I thought while reaching the car's door and open it
I passed my hand on the back seats and looked in between them for my phone but I didn't find it "weird, now where the hell is it ?"
I bowed down to search underneath it and lucky me I finally found it but I drop it again the moment I heard a high scream from a distance and I didn't need any other clue to know Its owner
my body Moved on his own, running as fast as my feet can take to Sarah's location
After a bit, I found my self next to my house standing there for a while catching my breath
moving slowly to the half-opened front door with a hearable heart's beat and heavy steps... I reach my shaking hand carefully to open it completely.....
but! in a matter of seconds I was on the floor with a shaking body holding me tightly repeating the same sentence over and over again "DON'T GO IN - DON't GO IN- DON'T GO IN- DON-----"
" Sarah look at me, look at me I'm here" I said holding her face gently she was having a Panic attack " take a deep breath..." I looked deep into her swallowed blue eyes
" i-i-i saw-w her...sh-she was th-there alive .....then s-someone c-came and...." she was trying so hard to spell the words
"what happened! who came?!"
"i-i tried to-to help...it-it was to l-late...... I'm so-sorry" she hugged me again while crying her eyes out, I was confused and scared who is she ? the one she is talking about...and what happened that made her this terrified... I need answers
but what made my blood freeze in my veins was the wetness on her clothes...
first, I thought it may be from her tears but
"When did tears smell like Metal!!?"
I pushed her away from me and get up in a quick move, my mind was expecting the worst
I run to the opened door now and I wish I never did ..... you know when you spend your whole life wondering why life never gave you a thing to be happy for? but the truth is we were just to blind to see it or too naive to appreciate it... well as they say you'll never know how much it was worthy till it's gone, and now I know the feeling of wasting years Grumbling instead of trying to fix things and make it right... I was stupid, I was soo fucking stupid
"Mom....." those 3 letters came out as a whisper
I couldn't believe it
it can't be real
it's just a nightmare

who am I kidding? myself... this was real, my mom's dead body was real if it wasn't for the blood all over the place I'll say she was sleeping peacefully but no...nothing seems peacefully in this place anymore
"lost her" those were the last words I spell before throwing my body on hers and crying like I never did before
