"Looks like the Cleveland Suburban is doing you good, Son."
Sonya could only smile at Tony as the rest of the coaches made their way inside their makeshift office of a quick discussion with how tonight's show would take place. Producers had made their greeting as Sonya simply continued watching clips of her daughter playing with Reid and Jojo back home. Sam had an instant liking towards her son and Jojo which relieved her more than anything at this moment.
She knew she should be relieved to know that Jon wasn't here. The next few weeks sees the man in Japan for the G1. It has always been the man's dream to perform in an almost full tour in Japan. Just knowing he was able to achieve it and more means the world to her.
As soon as the wrestlers had also slipped inside, it was the start of the meeting. To her, it wasn't a meeting, it was more of just Tony and her talking and taking suggestion of how the each storyline they would have for tonight would play off. Everyone brainstorming ideas with Sonya and Tony giving the final stamp of approval before it gets greenlighted.
The environment here was a complete 180 on her. It was lighter and there was no sense of dread like she had once felt being part of WWE. Numerous former employees of the company could agree in her sentiment. No one was controlled by the man named Vince McMahon or destroyed and ruined to the core by Stephanie and Paul Levesque.
Everyone finally found their oasis.
The two hour meeting was filled with laughter and the promise to make tonight's show better than what it was last week, the constant mantra each and every single wrestler and crew had made since being part of the company.
"And next week we'll be welcoming Sonya's son Reid into the commentary table for AEW Dark and Jojo would also be joining Justin Roberts as an announcer." Tony added as the last announcement to her surprise. She had just thrown out the idea and now it was finally a reality. Everyone nodding in agreement, raving praise of the young McMahon.
As soon as everyone left, leaving Tony and Sonya all alone, she took hold of the man's hand once again, thankful for everything the man had been doing for her for the past few years. In front of her was an ally she could finally trust with making sure the business she works and cares for would strive.
"Thank you." she whispered.
"We both know that even if they weren't family, they are going to be a great asset to the company." He pointed out. "I hope the two of them are ready in two weeks we're having both of them dive head first as soon as they sign their contracts."
Her face momentarily fell, realizing that the now lingering problem she had was her daughter, she was miles away from Joshua and his mother, with both Reid and Jojo coming on Wednesday and even Pay Per Views, the very idea of Samantha in a strangers hands now worried her more than anything.
"Something wrong, Son?"
"Nothing. I'm just nervous for Reid."
"They're going to love it here. From how I got to know Reid, I'm sure he's going to get along with the Bucks nicely."
She nodded finally putting on a smile, she would need to actually talk to her son about this now.

"So much for a vacation." Reid playfully snorted upon signing the physical contract Sonya had brought home.
A smile was on her face seeing Jojo and Samantha playing tea party with her daughter's little tea set. She was worried if this would be the right time to actually bring her along knowing she was far too consumed in work once in the arena to get any attention to her daughter and Reid would evidently be on commentator to actually care for her as well, same goes with Jojo as she would most likely be outside the ring in the announcer's section.
