My eyes opened to the blinding light of... lightbulbs?

What?

What happened? I should be acting surprised yet still cool in this chapter! Why am I lying in bed?

And why is my head throbbing like crazy?

I sat up suddenly, and my brillliant idea caused me a whiplash. Wheee!

When my vision refocused, I found North tinkering with ice in front of me.

"What happened?" I asked.

"You fainted when we told you you're going to be a guardian." he answerd nonchalantly.

What?

(A/N: I feel like I'm abusing the question mark XD Sorry)

(A/N: Nonchalant... new fave word! Search it up if you dunno what it means)

(A/N: Hey... this is fun!)

(A/N: Sorry, back to the story. Don't shoot me please XD)

...fainted. I fainted. No, no, don't mind me, I'm not embarassed at all.

"Well you're awake now. Let the ceremony begin!" North announced.

Elves holding trumpets burst in, followed by the guardians. The yetis made a formation around us.

All this happened while I sat in bed, shell-shocked.

'It's happening.'

Gosh.

"Umm..." I managed to force out.

North started to read the oath.

"A-actually, I think --".

The elves blew a trumpet in my face.

"Can you stop?"

No one's listening.

Alrighty then.

I let out a loud whistle, stopping them from continuing further.

"Something... wrong? Oh, did you eat the cookies?" Jack asked.

"N-no, but..." taking in a deep breath, I continued. "... I just--- I don't think I deserve this."

"Man in moon chose you, Euphie. You deserve this." Tooth encouraged.

"Yeah, he chose me but still. Do you just, like, follow everything he says? I mean, you all are good at your own stuff -- world famous guardians. Yet here I am -- the leader of music that no one knows." I said.

Why did I say that.

I wasn't supposed to say that.

That, people, is verbal diarrhea right there.

"I guess, I just don't feel like I deserve this. Why choose me in the first place? How can I help, when all I can do is create sounds?"

The guardians stared at me, silent.

"Give us some privacy for a minute." North spoke up.

The others left the room, Sandy giving me a look of disappointment.

"Take a seat, Euphie."

...

"I'm, um, already sitting down-"

"Good."

...

*awkward silence*

My intense staring session with my pants was broken by North's sigh.

"You know, Euph, Jack didn't want to be a guardian too. I t was a long time ago, but it happened for the same reason."

North moved to sit beside me, and I scooted over to make some space for him.

"But you know what I told him?"

...

"I told him, that I can see the magic in everything; and he had magic in him. That magic can make anything happen."

"Really?" I asked, fascinated.

"Well, of course those weren't excactly what I said, but hey, it's the thought that counts."

...

"I'd like to be alone for a while."

North left the room, and I was then alone, pondering...

Am I worth it?

~○~

Hey! So it's been forever since I updated, then here I come at you with a crappy title.

To be honest, I lost interest in this a little bit ago, but I rewatched ROTG and here I am.

Sorry to say, I'm not going to be uploading following a schedule, (not that I did, anyway) but I'd just upload periodically, when I get random bursts of inspirations.

I'm working on another story; it's darker and has more gore, plus a lot more serious. I've been feeling pretty down ever since my grandmother fell sick, but writing makes everyrhing better; for me, atleast.

I don't have magical powers that when I write, granma will suddenly heal and, I dunno, run a marathon?

So again, I'm sorry, and see you soon!
