I pulled up to the address that lytrell gave me and it seems like a pretty decent home.

I look to my right and see a memorial of some girl, I wasn't surprised things like that are all over freeridge.

I thought to myself who would gun down a kid before I knocked on the door.

" Hello" a Hispanic women answered the door.

" Hi" is all I said to this stranger.

We stood in akward silence untill I heard screaming children chasing each other around in the house.

" Would someone get them" She yelled inside sounding annoyed.

" Sorry the twins can be a lot, and my son isn't here to help me with them so " she said while I just nodded my head.

" I'm jayda" I said extended my hand for her to shake.

" Oh I'm Geny" she said and welcomed me into her home.

Oh ok I guess I'll come in then I said to myself. She's to friendly.

" por favor ayudame señor " an old lady said with holding a dress above her head so the children wouldn't ruin it.

" Would you like help with that" I said guiding her to the couch so the children wouldn't bump into her.

" Thanks, who are you" she said checking the dress for any mess ups.

" Oh I'm jayda "
I heard a loud crash from the kitchen and seen a worried but annoyed face on Geny. I followed her to the kitchen.

The little girl ran into the counter but promised her mother her brother pushed her into it.

I stood leaning against the wall amused untill I saw blood coming out the girls forehead.

" Oh God please say she's alright, we don't have enough money to go to the hospital again" Geny said while I took a look at the cut.

" I'll get the the band-aids and alcohol." The old women said turning around to retrieve those things.

" You're alright, your gonna be alright" I said to her while I put a lil alcohol on the cut.

She hissed by the burning sensation. I shoulda warned her, I placed the band-aid on her and she was back to chasing her brother outside.

It was kinda quiet in the house now until I heard a sowing machine go off and seen the old women making a dress.

" That's Abuela, isn't she talented" Geny said next to me.

I felt she was getting to comfortable near me, considering how close she was standing next to me but so was I and thats not what I came here to do. It was already near 8 o'clock and I had to get going soon but needed to get info on Jamal since I haven't even started.

" Um does Jamal live here " I said confused since I haven't seen him at all.

Geny looked at abuela and she looked kinda disappointed for a moment and spoke up.

"No, no Jamal here, why?" She said still working on her dress.

"I um, well it's a long story." I said folding under pressure.

See this gang stuff is already starting to stress me out.

" Well would you like to stay for dinner." Geny said to me already putting food out. It smelled so good but I had to get home before lytrell would come looking for me.

" That would be nice but i--"
The door opened with a boy and girl looking around my age came in laughing and holding hands.

" Oh Ruby this is jayda, and jayda this is Jasmine. " Geny introduced us. We all waved and said hi.

" Damn girl you got swag, I'm totally digging it. " Jasmine said winking to me.
I smiled.

" Oh honey jayda was asking about Jamal maybe you can help her. " Geny said walking into the kitchen

" No Mom I can't, sorry but I can't" he said walking into his room putting his stuff down with me and Jasmine behind him.

" Why not, is he dead, did he move. " I questioned him

" No girl chill, don't bombarded my man with your nosey questions, we all just met." She said sitting on his bed next to him looking at me.

" But what you wanna know." She said smirking.

" Jasmine" Ruby semi yelled at her. Clearly he didn't wanna talk about him.

" I um just need to know where he is, like you know where he lives to be exact. " They looked at me like I was crazy

" I just wanna make sure he's safe, I haven't seen him in awhile. " I said trying not to be so stalker-ish.

" Aw you missing a dick appointment right now and need to find him asap ? " Jasmine said. No but I just went with it.

" Cause I got you " she said getting up and giving me his number.

" Jasmine wait, we don't even know the girl" Ruby said, I tilted my head agreeing with him. This is all kinda happening fast.

" Well we'll get to know each other then, she's our new Monse" she said clapping her hands and giving Ruby a kiss.

I had a confused look on my face because of the girl she was referring me to, and I think Ruby caught on.

" Monse, she use to be one of us but she'd betrayed us" he said walking back to the living room.

One of us?  I just shook that off, that could mean a million things.

we were all chilling on the couch when I got a call.

"Shit" lytrell was calling probably wanting to know where I was at, not even worried if I was safe, everything was about the gang and money to him, family didn't matter as much.

" What's wrong boo, Jamal calling, you hiding from him?" Jasmine asked hovering over my phone trying to see who was calling. I laughed at how nosey she was.

" Nah but I gotta go, it's late" I said getting up.

"  But wait the movie didn't end yet, we don't know if their loves gonna last." Ruby said to me.
It was near 11 o'clock, and I had to bounce.

" Before you go" Jasmine said to me. " Can you grab my phone it's in Ruby's room on the bed." I nodded and went to get her phone, I grabbed it and as I was walking out I'd seen a Santos nome.

I froze
There's no way their Santos, there just kids. Why would lytrell give me an address to a Santo house.

I threw Jasmine her phone and she threw me my phone I forgot I left with em.

" I put our numbers In your phone so we could hang later" she said as I rushed out the door.
