I woke up with Jasmine blowing up my phone asking to hang out again, me and Jamal, and school.
I was debating on texting back
Jasmine: after school we should def hang out, maybe at rubys.
Jasmine: let's meet up at lunch and we'll discuss details then.
Jasmine: so you and Jamal what's up with that? Lol
I thought this was hilarious, she is a very nosey girl.

I got up getting ready for school but dragging since I ain't wanna go.
Usually I was always getting in trouble and locked up so I wasn't at school very much, but that could still happen I thought to myself but for now I gotta get this money.

Lytrell stopped to talk to me on my way out.
" Ok, first day at freeridge, Jamal goes there, so tonight tell me what you know about him ok?" He asked walking me down the street.
" Yea sure bye" I said walking away.
" No hug" he asked pretending to be hurt.
I turned around ready to hug him but his phone rang, while he answered he told me just to go.
Hm another day in sunny California I thought to myself.

I was now in biology, I hated bio but I did have plans to be in the medical field so I guess I needed some of the information.
I laid my head down on the table day dreaming when I get tapped on the shoulder.
I look up and see a boy with his hand out waiting for me to shake it.
" Hi, I'm jamal, you new here ?" He asked with a smile that could brighten anyone's day.
" Oh you, I mean-- " I remembered the plan to get to know him,then get him in the gang.
" I'm jayda, jayda Peterson and um I'm new to the school but not freeridge." I said shaking his hand, I smiled. And I could tell he liked it.
He asked to sit with me at lunch and I allowed it, it'll give me more time to know him.
I was so hungry but there was no way I was gonna eat the school lunch. As I walked to an empty table I saw jamal make his way over to me.
" Hey jay, u not hungry? They got the best pie, I can go get you some if you want I was just--" I stopped him
" Nah I'm good but thanks, um is it cool if my friends join" I asked him and he didn't mind, I knew Ruby told me they didn't speak but I just wanted to see what would happen.
" So I see your on the football team, seems fun." I said seeing the Jersey he's in.
" Yea it is, you know at first I didn't even wanna do it, I was terrified. " He said eating
" Well what changed." I asked getting interested.
" It's a long story " he said smiling at me.
" Well we got 15 minutes left" I said checking the time on my phone and I returned the smile.
" Well my ex friends boyfriend was inna--" and he just stopped, he was staring at something. I turn and see Ruby and Jasmine coming to sit with us.
" Hey girl we've been looking for you, we usually don't sit over here--" Jasmine said looking to her right seeing that Ruby wasn't sitting next to her.
Then she looks at Jamal and he puts his head down then looks at me.
Ruby just stood there looking.
" I'll talk to you later, can I get your number " he asked
" Oh I already have it " I said pointing to Jasmine. He nodded and walked away, joining his football team but still sneaking glances at us from time to time.
" Not cool jayda " Ruby said sitting down and eating.
" What do you mean, I forgot that you stop talking to him" I said defending myself.
" Next time don't forget"
" Ok I'm sorry but what is it that you wanted to do after school jaz? " I said as I texted jamal.
" Ooo nicknames, I love it. Imma call you jay bae, cause you just my type." She said winking.
Oh alright that was weird but expected.
" Oh and here's the plan for after school cause I need your help" after that I zoned out everything she was saying. I was to caught up texting jamal
Me: I see you keep looking over here just come back over.
Jamal: I can't me and Ruby dont talk anymore.
Me: y?
Jamal: another long story. How bout we meet up later after school and then I'll tell u, deal?
Me: deal.
I looked over to his table smiling and rolling my eyes and he justed laughed.
" Aye girl snap out of it, I was telling you what's going down today. I need your help at the police station it's urgent i--" Jasmine said but I cut her off
" Police station? I can't go there." I said chuckling as if it was a joke but I was actually serious. I've caused to much trouble in freeridge to just walk in there like everything cool. " Y not, it's not like you have to go in I just need you to be on the look out for me pleaseeee." She said in my face with Ruby on the other side of me telling me to do it.
" Yea yea I'll do it, whatever you need" I said laughing at them.
They probably would have never gave up.
