I stood, my arms crossed, next to Greg, listening to some announcer tell us about how we're not supposed to use weapons on each other, a.k.a, don't kill each other. Even if I did want to kill some one, I probably wouldn't be able to. I had never even touched a weapon before. My best chance would be swinging around a sword until it hit something, or someone, for that matter.
I looked around to all the tributes again, hoping to get a better look at them since we're not all on moving chariots anymore. But still, most of the boy tributes were staring at me, and the girl tributes glaring. I was wondering why in the hell they would be glaring, when I saw the boy infront of me.
He honestly looked like he was about to cry. I could tell he was deffinetely in another world, thinking about something. I have obviously done that many times, last night, for instance.
But I had to shake last night off, and be strong. None of the tributes could know my weakness. I tapped the boy on the shoulder. He flinched a bit, then turned his head to me quickly. I gave him a quick smile and said "You are alright?" It took him a while to respond, but he eventually said "Uh, yeah." He seemed completely unsure of himself. I knew how that felt.
"Sorry to bother you," I said, even though he still looked slightly dazed. "you looked like you were about to burst into tears. I just came to check up on you." I could still hear the announcer talking, how long did this speech go on? "Thanks" He said, half-heartedly smiling. "You're welcome!" I said, holding out my hand. "I'm Addy."
"Liam" He said taking my hand. It looked like a thought suddenly hit him, and he asked quickly, "Have you seen my partner?" He asked. "Who?" I asked. I don't remember anyone standing beside him. "Danielle Peazer?" Oh. The curly headed one? "Oh! I think while you were in your... daze she wondered off with a couple of other guys toward the sword throwing station. Or whatever." It was kind of rude for her to just leave him like that, but I guess it was none of my business. "Thanks" He said, before turning around and running off to her.
